This hospital is 5 stars all the way around although you may initially have to wait in the emergency room a little longer than normal it’s because there are so many patients coming for their outstanding care !! The incredible nurses to their through dr’s you won’t leave feeling unheard or nervous if they missed something . Their impatient care is off the charts top notch care !!! The nurses are incredible the dr’s great the lab techs great the procedure nurses great and I have to say although I have only been hospitalized a few times here short stay is by far 5 star quality treatment and believe me I wasn’t a short stay but the hospital was full and remain in short stay for 8 days and they could have been tired of me but instead compassion was showed everytime and I only got a couple of repeat nurses or dr’s most of the time they changed day to day but the care different each dr or nurse’s care better than the last . I did have to wait in the er a bite and be treated in the hallway bit it didn’t change the incredible care I received . It was still top notch and again it’s so busy because the care is so good people would rather wait for hours here and received the best care than go elsewhere and seen quick but lacked results . I am going to change all my care and all my dr’s to Shawnee mission !!!

With my prior 2 years experience with heart problems and multiple procedures and test, my aortic valve was discussed multiple times! I was told it wasn’t ready for replacement!After a hospital stay in December 2023 I was released from the hospital with shortness of breath and fatigue/weakness and edema in my legs symptoms! My insurance authorized home care nurse and physical therapy. After several weeks my progress was minimal and the shortness of breath and edema had gotten worse! At that point my home care nurse called my nephrologist with concerns of my well being. I was told to go directly to hospital ED and she, the nephrologist , would meet me there! After a couple of test it was determined I needed my aortic valve replaced! I was admitted to Advent Hospital Pepin Heart Institute for the surgery. After a weekend of dialysis I was cleared for surgery and the results were a miracle! Now 30 days after TAVR surgery I’m feeling better everyday and currently attending Advent Cardiac Rehabilitation and I’m up to 2 miles on my goal of 3 miles a day in the near future! Feeling better than good and thankful to God, my Doctors, Nurses, Technicians at Advent Hospital for saving my life!God is Good!🙏

Never again will I go to this hospital never ever worst hospital ever I left. There was discharged with chest pain and headaches. Something that is too serious things but Miss Leah had a problem with that. She told me what you want me to do. Miss Leah dare don’t need to be working in a medical field. She does not care about the well-being of her patience. She basically just laughed at me and said have a good day. What do you want me to do? And I told her I’m still having chest pains and I’m still having headaches that headaches that has last for almost a year and a half chest pain for a week she just laugh. I will be going personally to South Orlando Hospital, where they care about their patients. I almost fell when leaving the hospital. I told her I have heart problems. I get very dizzy. I get very lightheaded. I tend to pass out and she still laughed. She said what do you want me to do? What kind of nurse or doctors do you have and the dumb doctor that was assigned to me never showed up. These two are serious conditions. She did not disclose of my test. She did not go over my test. The doctor didn’t even go over my I found out some things through my test that I was not even aware of so how is she a medical terms right now both of them need to get their license suspended for a couple months and have an investigation happen I am going to a different hospital because heart of Florida just tried to kill me and let me go home with chest pains, and headaches that is not going away

I recently had a fall and fractured my hip. Initially I went to the ED in Advent Health Hospital Celebration. The care I received here was top class. From triage thru to the ED was exceptional. I must however single out my ED nurse Whitney. Caring compassionate and oh so helpful. Unfortunately Celebration AHH does not have an orthopedic dept so I had to go to Orlando AH hospital. I spent three days here having the same nurse for the three night. Kera an angle if ever there was one. I also had Pra and Jessica during the day. These three nurses came straight out of the Florence Nightingale Nurse Perfection Guide. I was blessed with Dr. Benjamin Shookoo as my surgeon. The theatre staff were nice to me as well. The fact that I was operated on mid day Wednesday and home by Friday night shows the excellence of care I received. I would also like to give a mention to nurse Mary from floor ten that helped me with my discharge. She was so kind and patient with me. Over all for such a horribly bad experience of my fall and subsequent fracture the Drs Nurses Transport People the lady that brought my meals of both Celebration and Orlando Advent Health Hospital Group made my misfortune and road to recovery bearable. Thank you one and all.
