A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING
One of the greatest advantages of Banktivity is bringing all your financial accounts into one place. Our Direct Access service connects to more than 14,000 banks worldwide, automatically delivering your latest transaction to all your macOS/iOS devices. And our set-up assistant imports all your old data and downloads current transactions from your bank account online.
THE BIG PICTURE FOR GREATER CONTROL
Your financial picture couldn’t be clearer with all of your accounts – checking, savings, credit cards, real estate, mortgages and brokerage – securely connected to Banktivity. You’ll easily track, categorize, tag, reconcile and manage every transaction (including online bill pay). Do it all yourself or let Banktivity’s transaction templates do it for you.
And with Banktivity’s “Update Everything” button, you can easily update all your accounts all at once. Sync devices, download Direct Access data, security prices, even currency exchange rates.
BUDGETING YOU CAN LIVE (AND SAVE) WITH
The best budget is based on reality. And the reality is there are things we have to pay for and things we want to buy. Banktivity’s Envelope Budgeting is built around this belief and lets you assign money to different categories. Recurring bills, day-to-day living expenses and those things we’d like to do or have. And any money not spent in one category carries over into your savings.
Banktivity automatically budgets scheduled transactions – bills and paychecks – categorized to your Envelope Budget. And you’ll always know well how you’re tracking with Banktivity’s visually-driven Budget vs. Actual reports.
INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT MADE EASY
Banktivity’s intuitive investment features helps you better manage stocks, bonds, mutual funds, IRAs, 401(k)s, CDs and other assets. You can track buys, sells, splits, dividends, options and more. And Banktivity calculates IRR, ROI, and gains and losses. You can even choose which lots you sold from.
Built-in report templates (Income & Expense, Net Worth, Payee Summary and more) dynamically analyze your finances. You can assign tax codes to generate Tax reports or export to TurboTax. Or view holdings in the Portfolio of Investment Summary reports – presented in comprehensive graphics that let you drill down for details, export or print.
ON THE GO, IN THE KNOW
No matter where you are, you can enter transactions with Banktivity for iPhone. And you can sync accounts, budgets and investments to all your macOS/iOS devices. Should you need help or have questions, we provide unlimited email support, U.S.-based Live Chat (Mon-Fri, 9AM- 4PM EST) for quick solutions. Plus, there’s easily-accessed Help Files, Support Articles, and video tutorials.

I have been using Banktivity for more than a decade now. For the most part, Banktivity has done a good job doing what I need it to do; help me manage my banking and investment accounts. One area, however, which has caused me to scratch my head over the years is an issue related to credit card accounts where credit card transactions that are downloaded are assigned the category, Withdrawal, instead of Charge. Debits against a credit card are charges, not withdrawals. Withdrawals are immediate, charges are not. Seems like this would be a simple fix. If an account is identified as a credit card account, then debits within these accounts should be categorized as a charge. Afterall, why have a category, Charge, if you're not going to use it for credit card transaction downloads? Why is the category Charge automatically assigned to manually entered transactions but not to downloads? Other than this overlooked nuisance on behalf of the Banktivity technical team, the software works well and I would recommend it to others.

Banktivity User for 11 Years
Roachy603
My wife and I have been Banktivity (or its predecessor) users since our retirement in 2014. My current data file essentially contains 100% of our income, expenses, and accounts over that 11 years. We have 15 active accounts and 11 active credit cards and another 30 closed accounts or credit cards. Overall we have been very pleased with the application; it has been exceptionally stable and error free over the entire period. Most accounts automatically sync with the bank/financial institution but a few don’t always allow this so we can either manually enter transactions or download blocks of transactions each month. A few simple small/accounts have manually entered transactions by choice. There have been many improvements over the years and automatic downloading/syncing has seen the most significant improvements. I think anyone would find the program very useful , stable, and accurate. For me there are some minor inconveniences that may not effect everyone.(they are also being constantly improved in updates). For me, most downloaded transactions need to be reviewed. Amounts, balances and payees are all quite accurate, but categories, tabs, and notes often need review if you are very fussy about this sort of thing as I am. Credit card transactions often need the most scrutiny in this way. Reports can sometimes require a little work to get just right. Overall, very satisfied and I look forward to continued updates.

Ease of use makes Banktivity stand out
ZiginBoston
After decades of being abused by Intuit with Quicken for Mac lagging in just about every aspect of modern financial management, Banktivity is a joy to use daily. I've appreciated every update over many release cycles. The ability to drag-and-drop transactions to merge, drag-and-drop transactions between accounts, sort and manually reorder transactions, make bulk updates to change Payee, Category, or Tag, and so many other usability features really enhance the value of this app. IGG has worked tirelessly to add and maintain connections to hundreds of financial institutions through the Yodlee and Plaid platforms to make downloading transactions easy. The Reports modules are very flexible and simple to set up and change. I make extensive use of Scheduled Transactions to ensure I don't forget an upcoming payment (it's simple to change a Scheduled Payment without disturbing the series of payments, too). It's easy to manage financial app accounts, like PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Cash, along with mortgage, retirement, and investment accounts. And budgeting is easy as well. Lots to like here.

Does Not Connect to Bank Fixed - sorta
Cyclist Edge
I’ve updated my rating based on developer response and fixing connectivity to USAA. I still have troubles with the federal thrift savings plan, but most of the connectivity issues have been fixed. I know working with many financial institutions is tough, but that’s why we purchase the product. If it was perfect it would be five stars. But it’s not. It’s pretty good though. Prior review - Banktivity uses Yodlee to connect to your banks. Setting aside giving a third party that kind of access, the connection process repeatedly fails, at least with USAA and Safari. Banktivity transfers you to USAA, you sign in then hit the “Allow” button, and nothing happens. No blockers running on my phone. Kinda does not matter to me if this is a USAA problem or a Banktivity problem. I’m trying to use Banktivity, and if they have not worked with my bank to allow me to download transactions, then I might as well use competing software. It’s ultimately a Banktivity problem.

This has been fixed now. Sorry it didn’t work at first. Hope you’ll try it again. Supporting thousands of banks is hard.
Thanks for using Banktivity! Here's what's new:
- Improved importing holdings that lack a description [macOS][iOS]
- Fixed an issue with keyboard overlap when editing statements [iOS]
