I’m a first time mom who works in fitness. Before finding Nancy’s program Move Your Bump, I had purchased another prenatal workout program, but it was monotonous with little variety which made it difficult for me to commit to doing. Thankfully, I discovered Move Your Bump and am so glad I did! There is a wide variety of workouts broken down by trimester, including barre, strength, conditioning, posture, stretching, dance cardio, just to name a few. She even has sections for Trying to Conceive and Postpartum. The content is thoughtfully curated and safe for all stages of pregnancy which helps take the guess work out of it. Plus, the workouts are appropriately challenging without leaving me too sore to move the next day. As a trainer, I know that is a sign of an intelligently sequenced exercise routine. I started using the app when I was 13 weeks along and have done some type of workout pretty much every day since then. It’s helped me to feel less lethargic, kept my blood pressure at a good level, and helped me to slow the weight gain to the recommended weight according to where I am in my pregnancy. I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Nancy and team for keeping me moving and feeling good throughout my pregnancy and beyond! In addition to keeping me healthy in the prenatal stage, I feel confident that your program will help my postpartum recovery to be more easeful.

I am so beyond grateful to have found this app in my first trimester. I just delivered our first baby a few days ago and can speak to how helpful this program was. I genuinely enjoyed the workouts 2-3x per week (and never used to look forward to the gym). It helped that my partner and I woke up early to go to the gym together to keep each other accountable. Knowing I would be having an unmedicated birth at a birth center kept me extra motivated to be in the best shape possible. I mainly used the warm-up/ recovery and circuit training programs but also used the breath work, pelvic floor and others on occasion. I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the warm up routines but actually didn’t get sick of Lorie’s one despite doing it so frequently. I loved not having to worry about whether things were safe for pregnancy yet that each activity was specifically designed for it. My baby came 1 week early and while labor was extremely challenging, I’m now recovering well. The midwife was surprised that my abs aren’t sore from the amount of pushing I had to do and I was told multiple times in prenatal visits how good my ab tone was. I look forward to checking out the Birth Recovery Center. Thanks so much to all the trainers and app developer :)

I would 100% recommend Move Your Bump. The app has so much content and workouts available it is almost unbelievable for the price. I was doing some free prenatal workout programs but decided to try this and have not been disappointed. There are a variety of workout types and programs for varying fitness/athletic levels, for each trimester. Every workout I have done I have been surprised at how thoroughly they have been programmed. I feel safe doing the workouts and each workout gives the opportunity to push yourself or bring down the intensity depending on how you are feeling, which is so helpful when you never know how you will wake up feeling during pregnancy. I had a personal trainer for a year and even though I am pregnant I can see and feel progress that I never felt with my trainer. The core and pelvic floor workouts alone would make subscribing to this app worth it. There are challenges included in the subscription at no additional cost which give the opportunity to follow a more structured plan and encourage accountability. There is so much included in this app that I haven’t even been able to really get into everything, such as yoga, Pilates, nutrition plans, labor and delivery education/prep, it goes on! What surprised me the most was the coach support and the community vibe. Coaches are available and willing to answer questions about workouts or help with making suggestions on moves that may be difficult or uncomfortable. The coaches seem to truly care about our comfort and progress and are so positive and encouraging. Honestly I would consider using this app even if I wasn’t pregnant as I have been more committed to my workouts and really putting in the work than in other non-pregnant times of my fitness life.

I used this app for 5 months of pregnancy and 7 weeks postpartum. The video content shows you workout moves that are safe pre and post baby, saving you the time and effort it takes to research otherwise. However, the app’s functionality and user experience are TERRIBLE. Very hard to navigate as there is no filtering functionality and the categories for workouts are not intuitive. It takes 8 clicks to get to something that should only take 3. The music is weird (lots of EDM but then you find cheesy songs like the OC’s Forever Young sprinkled in), there is no closed captioning available, and the instructors are inconsistent (e.g., any workout with Larissa is way easier than with Nancy but it doesn’t tell you that a workout is beginner or advanced, and there is no functionality for users to rate workouts). The postpartum content is especially subpar, which led me to cancel my subscription. There are literally multiple 10-min videos of Nancy just talking with a physical therapist. This is NOT how people consume content today! This experience may have been OK 15 years ago, but this app needs a serious refresh. On top of that, it is very overpriced at $30/month when apps like Peloton are $13/month with a much better UX and more comprehensive content that keeps getting updated (including some pre/postnatal workouts). Overall I’m a disappointed mama with this app.

We’ve re-organized our categories and workouts, added in new follow along programs, offer an in app community, live Q&As and so much! All of our outdated content has been removed and we’ve are adding brand workouts weekly with so many new options! We’ve also lowered our rates and have different membership options to make it more accessible and flexible based on your needs. Your feedback is so helpful as it’s allowed us to revamp and updated all of the above to improve the user experience.
