Oct 2024 - decided to write a review because it was too frustrating. This app and its glacially slow login process / refresh process belong to apps from ten years ago. For something as simple as listing recent transactions and statements - it takes very long to load. stepping away from the app times you out and it takes more than a minute to relogin and reload. very problematic when trying to use this alongside concur, to check for expenses. Why can’t the developers just cache the recent statements and transactions - instead of loading the full list each time on their stupidly slow backend. This feels amateurish and clunky - compare it with Amex mobile app which is much better user experience.
Total joke

Don't believe a single 5 star review. The only reason you can have a set of reviews with only 1 and 5 star reviews is that the 1 star are true and the 5 star are fake. Worst banking app I've ever seen or tried to use. And trying to use is the right term because the functionality is so so poor that there's really no use in trying. You can't see anything other than the current usage. You can't access old statements or search for old transactions.Perfect example - had to make a big purchase on my company card. It was flagged for fraud. Instead of getting a notification thru the app, I get an email. I call the fraud line only to get put on a long hold. So to be fair BofA's customer service is as bad as the app.
Their math doesn’t math
Tman601
It’s pretty bad that a bank company’s credit statements can’t math. If amount x is owed then later an amount (from statement x) is credited, you’re not still owed the original amount from amount x on statement! The app and their system is hung up on not receiving the full amount of statement. It’s saying my account is past due for an amount that was credited after statement creation. They also claimed they can’t send me paper statements and my company would have to send my cc statements 😂😂 Nothing about this card, app, statements, and math makes sense. I was on the phone for 1 hour and 40 minutes explaining their math doesn’t add up. I was practically speaking in crayon. They finally got the picture and created a case internally.
Card registration process broken
Ray_okay
I spent 20 minutes trying to register my card: after entering card number and clicking submit, there is no feedback, it just stares at you waiting for you to do I don’t know what. Wasn’t frozen, just didn’t do anything. So I tried retrieving my user name— it did send an email to my work address with two (two?) different user names registered to me, but neither of them worked for login. The “forgot password” also failed to reset my password, could not get past the security questions (which I don’t remember providing BofA with answers to in the past). I hope someone fixes these bugs, pretty embarrassing for such a large bank to have such a low rated app.
This release includes important security enhancements, performance improvements, and bug fixes for a smooth and secure experience.
