Now working as expected with 9.13 update !!

Originally had problems with ver 9.12 but were fixed with latest update to 9.13 !! Now there is no freeze app, everything working good. I kept the original comment for reference only.Using latest version 9.12 and iphone 7-plus with ios 12.4. I installed it, log in, use it and everything works ok. But if you are closing background apps by double clicking the home button and swiping up, the next time you open the app it only shows a white screen with officemax/ officedepot logo, nothing else, no even for a few minutes. The only way to fix it is to uninstall the app and start over.

“Price Change Making It Right! “ I went to purchase an HP printer that was advertised on line for $40 less than normal price. However when I went to purchase the printer the price changed on the web site. Evidently prices are updated on eastern time I found out. I am from Alaska and was in Hawaii on vacation which is 5 hours earlier than eastern time zone.I went to the Office Max web chat room and complained. The customer service agent put me on a brief chat hold and came back and told me they would honor the price. I then received a confirmation number and was told to contact the sales department by phone the following day which I did. I ordered the printer and was told it would be delivered in two business days which I thought was great. My daughter was in San Jose and she just had her birthday and it was received on 1 day!A win win for all and a happy birthday girl.Lars from Alaska.

Ads and purchase problems

I keep getting push advertisements despite opting out of all ads. The app also bugs me to update it, when I’m using the just released version! I’ve opted out of advertising, but Office Depot still pushes advertising notifications at me. I don’t care about your stupid Tech Tuesday deals! 🤬 STOP IT WITH THE ADVERTISING NOTIFICATIONS ALREADY! 😡 Purchasing items is a hassle. There are separate forms for each payment method and you can’t apply coupons/gift cards/store credit to anything except a credit card payment. Users should be able to apply discounts FIRST before going to the payment screen. 😡 STOP IT WITH THE PUSH ADVERTS! I DON’T WANT AN OFFICE CHAIR! 🤬 Can I give this app zero stars? Just stop it already. 🙁More recently I’ve been butting heads with the payment form. It won’t let me use any of my store credit with Apple Pay.

Trying to order an item for my son in college. If I put his name in the shipping address, his name replaces my name in the profile for my account and in the billing address. I had to do it at least a couple of times to correct my name in he profile after I placed the order. My son’s name still appears on the billing address of the order which is incorrect. The payment appears to have gone through though?! It also still shows my son’s initials on the upper left corner of the screen even though I corrected my name in my profile?! One more, it took the phone number I had for my son with the shipping address and added it to my profile. At least this time, it did not replace may profile phone number. Bottom line, this app needs serious debugging or it may simply not worth the hassle using it.
