The digital subscription gives a good recap of both local, national & international news. It is non-partisan which the country needs more of in these times.

The new format for online SN does not make me happy. When I click on an article or comic strip it comes up as a half page. I find it hard to read because it is too small. Pressing “A” for a larger font cuts off much of the article . This often makes it necessary to drag the item back and forth in order to read it with a comfortable print size. I had accidentally deleted the old SN and it was replaced by the one I now have and don’t like. As I recall, when selected, articles and comic strips filled a whole page. While I’m not sure what it was exactly like previously, I am sure that I had no trouble reading it. I wish I could get the older version back!
Terrible App - Doesn’t Acknowledge Payment

I paid for a year long promotional digital access only account through Apple. Got a confirmation from Apple and my credit card company for payment and an active subscription. The newspaper publisher, Gannett, does not show an account for me. I’ve called their overseas call center three times over two weeks and every time the rep shows no record of an account, and each time blames Apple. I do not like this application. I was having trouble downloading an edition of the StarNews. I deleted the application and tried to redownload it. I have had this to work before. I went to the Apple Store and the application I previous had was not available. I downloaded this current application and I do not like it at all. What happened to the previous application. I learned later that the problem I was experiencing was with my ISP.
