The Alerus Retirement mobile app allows participants of Alerus employer-sponsored plans to receive fast, free, and secure access to their account information. Access your account using your existing online username and password. Participants can receive important alerts, check balances, view investment performance graphs, and review contributions. The app allows for quick access to review investment information, monitor loan data (if applicable), see personal rates of return, and confirm contact details.
For users wanting to dig deeper, it is easy to access account activity details, check investment allocation, and review contribution totals. When changes are needed, the app provides secure access to perform transfers, make allocation changes, or download account statements.
Investment products are not FDIC insured, have no bank guarantee, and may lose value.

The App is easy to use and has all the features I need to track my retirement on the go. It puts my plan only a click away with facial recognition. Opens the door to the entire site without tedious logons. I use the historical views and the personal rates of return. My colleagues who previously never checked their balances are now checking daily and getting more motivated to save more.

Easy to use app very straightforward. I use it to check my retirement account as well as my contributions couldn’t ask for anything better.

The app’s overall design is meh. Would be “good enough” however they have built in superfluous animations that swipe the screen up and down like a page turning - and there is no way to turn this off. As a person with visually triggered seizures, this app is not usable. Really wish the designers thought about accessibility.

This update enhances security and improves user experience. The app now supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) like our website. On first login, you’ll verify your identity using your registered email or phone number to receive a PIN. After successful authentication, you can enable facial recognition/touch id for faster future logins.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
The App uses advanced multifactor authentication to protect the user’s data. Upgrading the App does not necessarily require the user to re-register the device. However, the multifactor authentication is dependent upon the device ID held in the device. The device ID can change when the user resets device, keychain cleared/lost, or upgrades the iOS/Android version. This will require the user to re-register their device. At that time, the user can also remove the prior device entry as it will no longer be needed. Otherwise, once the device is registered, the registration is good for the App until de-authorized by the user.
