HOW IT WORKS
When a pet goes missing, their owner posts an alert on Cubby Alert with photos, a description, and the location where the pet was last seen. Everyone nearby receives an instant notification. If you spot a lost pet, you can report a sighting with a photo and location — giving the owner real-time information about where their pet has been seen.
It's that simple. No searching through social media posts. No printing flyers. Just a direct connection between people who've lost a pet and the community around them.
REAL-TIME ALERTS NEAR YOU
Cubby Alert uses your location to show you lost pets nearby, sorted by distance so the closest ones appear first. Set your preferred search radius and choose which types of pets you'd like to be alerted about — dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, or small pets. You'll only see what matters to you.
MAP & LIST VIEW
Browse lost pets in a scrollable list with distance badges showing exactly how far away each pet was last seen, or switch to map view to see pins dropped across your area. Tap any pin or card to see the full details — photos, breed, color, distinguishing features, favorite treats, and sounds they respond to.
REPORT A SIGHTING
Spotted a pet that looks lost? Open the alert, tap "Report Sighting," snap a photo, and drop a pin on the map. Your sighting is sent directly to the pet's owner with your location and notes. Every sighting helps narrow the search area and brings that pet one step closer to home.
PET DETAIL PAGES
Each lost pet has a detailed profile with everything you need to identify and safely approach them — including distinctive features, favorite treats and toys, and sounds they respond to. An inline map shows exactly where they were last seen, and one tap opens your phone's native maps app for turn-by-turn navigation to the area.
BOOST YOUR ALERT
Need more visibility? Boost your alert to make it stand out in the feed. Priority alerts appear at the top of search results with a bold badge, reaching more people faster. You can also add a reward to motivate your community to keep an eye out.
CONTACT THE OWNER
Found a match? Reach the pet's owner instantly with one-tap calling or texting, right from the alert. No accounts to create, no hoops to jump through — just a direct line to someone who's waiting for good news.
POST A LOST PET ALERT
Posting an alert takes less than two minutes. Add your pet's name, type, breed, and color. Upload photos. Drop a pin where they were last seen. Add details about their personality, treats they love, and sounds they respond to. Your alert goes live immediately and reaches everyone in the area.
