Ok, a new version with 2FA and “biometrics” login option now available. That’s good. I’ve updated the app. I’ve enabled those biometric options and now use Face ID or fingerprinted to log in. Yet every single time your app pops up a window to tell me those options are now available and can be enabled etc etc. Who tested this? Same for reminders about Power Hours. Fairly average otherwise as consumption data is only available for previous day, and can be slow to load, but at least the hourly breakdown is available to give you a clue what was using power at what time.

It took quite a while to access the app, (I have been using Aurora + easily on my computer before then) and even though it takes a while waiting for the operators to assist with IT advice, every single Aurora call centre operator has shown patience, understanding and professionalism towards solving the issue. I LOVE the fact I am now able to access my information at the touch of a button, LOVE the fact that it educates me with data to make better power choices, gives me hints and tips and is on the trajectory of getting better as it is developing. Total fan, glad it’s free, and appreciate Aurora commitment to customer service.

This app is pretty useless. The app stopped logging in a few weeks ago and I haven’t been able to check my energy usage since. Not the first time it has happened… probably won’t be the last… Aurora then have the gall to advertise it at sporting events etc as helping you to cut bills! IF (not when…) you can log-in and book them, the Power Hours will save you like 50c if you are able to turn on all your devices at full power, because of the times they mostly offer are during off peak. You probably spend more money trying to get into the app in your time and phone battery than you actually get benefit.The app also does not give real time energy consumption as it was originally marketed as doing; it’s about a 24hr delay. The credit balance is an estimate, so you’ll often see it going down, even when it’s full sun, your solar is pumping AND you had Power Hours… so that’s helpful also…Honestly, I cannot even start to fathom how they charged a subscription for this app back in the day. Free is even a stretch…

When it works it’s great but the latest version is a failure. It only opens once and then if I try to open it again in goes into an endless Blue screen with spinning loading symbol in the middle. The only way to get it to work again on the iPad is to delete the app, reinstall it and log in again. Then it works again for first log in only. Rinse and repeat next time to log in again.
