Data bar still a problem

The Boost phone and data service works fine (I have 4 prepaid SIMs), but this app still fails at its most basic function. The data ‘progress bar’ has never worked for me (on any device). The ‘days’ progress bar works, but not the data. Some users report success by turning off wifi, thus forcing the app to connect by (Boost) data. However, that does not work for me. I also use the Telstra version of the app for another device, and this feature functions just fine on it.

Also, feature request: allow users to add Nicknames for each service (like the Telstra app can). Keeping track of multiple users by phone number alone is rather inconvenient.

Data Bar Problem

For everyone who is complaining about the data bar not showing progress, I have a solution. When your in the app and on the Home Screen you need to turn off your wifi and enable your mobile data (if you haven’t already) and the bar should reload and show up. Once your done looking or whatever just turn your wifi back on and exit the app. This seemed to work just fine for me but it is a bit annoying when I’m at home and I want to check my balance and I have to turn off my wifi just to check it. But overall the app is fine if your just using it to check your usage and days, but for anything other than that the app falls behind. Overall the UI is nice but you need to fix a lot of things and make the app more in-app friendly, as a lot of buttons just take you to their website instead of it happening inside the app.

Worst Recharge Process Ever

If I could rate Boost Mobile with zero stars, I would. Their recharge process is impossible. Regardless of whether I download the app, update the app, delete and reinstall the app, try a website browser, clear my browser caches and cookies or dial #111# from my mobile device, the same error messages appear. ‘Something went wrong, try again later.’ After reaching out for help on their website and having one of their robots ‘Kris Ann May’ ask me for my full name and date of birth (details which have never been provided to Boost, as I have a prepaid SIM) and telling me that I need to reset my device’s ‘Access Point Name’… I’ve had enough. Boost, you are a phone company whose ONE JOB is to provide your customers with solutions so that they can use their mobile device. And you’ve failed. You’ve failed at your one job. Please save your robotic, generic response that all these reviews saying the same thing get. I can only hope that a real human being with the power to change something reads this, and cares enough to actually do something about this.
