Not too bad but needs a few changes

Overall its not too bad and works well maybe 95-98% of the time, but there are a few procedural issues that sometimes cause frustration.
There definitely needs to be better communication between the Driver, Restaurant and Customer.
The customer should be able to message or call the drivers without going through the painstaking process of calling menulog and asking them to do it on your behalf, for something that really doesnt need to be done that way (for example changing a delivery address or finding out why theyre running late).
And the feature that automtically marks an order as ‘delivered’ after a set time needs to be scrapped. Ive had several situations where the order was so late that the app automatically marked it as delivered even though it never came or was still sitting at the restaurant. The only way an order should be marked as delivered is when the driver personally drops it off and clicks the button to mark it as such. Otherwise its extremely deceptive conduct.

Use another service

Uber eats used to mess up my orders and deliveries all the time so I stopped using them and started using menulog. (Bad idea) I preordered food at 2pm for a 5:30 delivery to feed my family of 5. 9pm rolls around and still nothing, at this point I had called menulog 3-4 times already and been hung up on once. I clicked the button that says call restaurant and they’ve got it set so it goes back to menulog which set me off even more because I felt they were just messing me around at this point. I called at 6:30pm they said it was on the way. It wasn’t. Menulog gave me a full refund and said the food was on the way but again it never arrived. I ended up going to google and calling the restaurant myself and had to go pick it up myself since everyone involved with menulog was so useless to me that night. The restaurant told me that they’d already handed the meals over and it was out for delivery but after telling them what’s been happening they agreed to make my food again for no charge at all. There needs to be better communication between customers, restaurants and menulog. Also I feel like the app could be a lot better for example if a restaurant or delivery driver is running behind to have a function in the app that says there will be a delay. Because my order took so long to ‘arrive’ it timed out and said it had been delivered automatically so the whole time I had no idea what was happening. Will definitely be using another service from now on.

**NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!**

I have been using Menulog for a while but due to a recent order not being delivered, it has made me not want to use this app ever again. I was using menulog at least 2-3 times a week and due to their incompetent customer service, they have lost a loyal customer. I ordered menulog last week and all was going well until it driver marked the order as “delivered” but in fact, it was never delivered. Even checked with all the neighbours in the street and they never got any food delivered, so the driver clearly turned their GPS off (driver lost signal shown on map when delivering) and took off with my food. Rung customer care and no one answered so had to live chat. Got told that because it has now been change to the delivered status, they are unable to contact the driver. What logic is that!? You will never know what is wrong with an order till it has been delivered! They then told me they will issue me with a credit voucher which I did not receive till a week later, in which I have contacted them numerous times. Told them I now want a refund as I will not be using this service again and have no need for a credit voucher. Customer care gave me the excuse that since the voucher has been generated, it can no longer be cancelled in the system to maintain system and process integrity. What an absolute joke, just a stupid excuse to try and keep the money in their pocket!! **NEVER USE THIS SERVICE**
