***Do anyone at Starbucks actually read these reviews? Surely it can’t be that hard to have a coffee app that works? Cannot sign up for Starbucks rewards. Contacted the customer service, they suggested deleting and reinstalling the app. Did that, we’re back to the same problem. Useless!Furthermore maybe for those people who can’t seem to use the app, you could provide a physical coffee rewards card to use. I asked staff at a local store if they had one and simply got told to download the app, which I promptly said it doesn’t work, the staff member couldn’t have cared less really.Further update on this review 26/12… I have a new phone, still doesn’t work for Starbucks rewards! So it’s not me, it’s you Starbucks!!!! Won’t be ordering a coffee until you fix the app. Enjoying my $5 drink of the week at The Coffee Club instead!

The “Starbucks Australia” application is so poorly written in every possible way, that I quite literally consider it one of the laziest applications currently installed on my smartphone.Not only is the interface clearly designed for an older version of Apple iOS (which makes the application extremely difficult to use), but many of the functions simply don’t work.For example, trying to see the recent transactions only displays error messages, “stars” and rewards rarely update in the application and on a couple of occasions, the application has actually “forgotten” how many purchases I have made (thus, I haven’t received my “free” beverage).Then there’s the fact that there is absolutely no Apple Pay / Apple Wallet support - which is even more ridiculous when one considers that we are moving towards a contactless society for the foreseeable future, given the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic...Unlike Starbucks overseas, Starbucks Australia is owned by the Withers Group (who also owns 7ELEVEN), which explains why our “loyalty” application (among other things) is different to that used by Starbucks overseas - but it does not justify such a poor quality application.I love my Starbucks coffees, but this application is a complete waste of time.

The update is a huge step forward for Starbucks in Australia. The last edition of the app was slow, outdated and ineffective for many people. I like that they have launched Starbucks Rewards in Australia through this app, however, I also like to say mobile order and pay functionality launched so that I am able to quickly order my drinks, and skip the line when I have limited time available. This feature would also be useful as it would provide up-to-date prices and allow for customisation and changes that I would normally would not be able to do when I have limited time available.

Worst app in history. I used it a couple times and ever since I can’t get into the app. It just stays on the loading screen forever. Been like that for over a year and every time I go back to check if it’s working yet it it’s not so I’ll be deleting it. And yes, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling and that doesn’t fix the issue. I’ve even got a new phone since and it doesn’t work on that either. Useless! Won’t be going to my local Starbucks at all anymore either because a. I won’t get the rewards and b. I’m not waiting in the painfully long drive through or the store when I can’t order in advance on the app. Your rating on the App Store is already woeful and that is accurate. You would think with all these bad reviews you’d actually do something about it!
