My husband and I are both members, but he is the main policy holder so only he can use the app. Despite promising to fix this for more than seven months, the app still only allows access for the main policy holder. The old app allowed both of us to use and manage our policy, so this is a serious step backwards. There are also a range of other issues - passwords not being recognised even when saved by iPhone, and biometrics randomly disappearing despite using the latest version. Most importantly, as a woman I should be able to manage my own health insurance independently of my husband. It feels incredibly retrograde of Teachers Federation.Given the premium increases members are about to face, the least they could do is ensure the app actually works properly for all policy holders.
Hi ahmartadam, thank you for taking the time to review our app. We understand your frustrations in not being able to manage your policy. The old app didn't allow both of you to use the app, this issue has been around since the old app. However, because 2FA wasn't mandatory you were able to share login information. By forcing 2FA we are ensuring the safety of your data which is why you are feeling this is a step backwards. We are working on moving to email logins which would mean that all members on the policy will be able to have their own login. This is coming in the next couple of months. Please keep an eye out for this important update :)
