Description
Use our free Nectr app to keep on top of your energy consumption, generation and projected usage, all at a glance. Managing your account has never been easier - confirm when your next bill is due, make one-off payments, check when your plan’s fixed benefit period expires and update your contact and payment information instantly. Depending on your meter type, you can submit a self meter read to assist with bill accuracy or view our new usage screens to easily see your monthly consumption and compare it to previous months.
For Solar and battery customers, you now have access to more energy usage data and we’ll continue to display additional usage information over the next few months. If you have more than one Nectr account, you can easily view both properties by toggling between addresses. If you’d like to see other features or would like to share your feedback please fill in Feedback section below.

Version 2.7.0
We're excited to introduce some new features in our app.
For Nectr Solar and Battery customers who have financed their system through us, you can now see your payment plan details, including your remaining instalments, balance remaining and any amounts owing.
We've also updated our offline chat feature for all customers and will enhance this in future releases.
For those customers who are part of our Virtual Power Plant, we continue to enhance the event information under the Energy tab.
And, we've fixed some bugs in our displays and our Refer-a-friend links and updated our compatibility with the latest firmware version of your smartphone.
Ratings and Reviews
Would be better if I didn’t have to log in every time
Every time I open this app I have to log in with my full email address and password. I have to type it all in (I know first world problems, but it’s a pain when I am used to being able to quickly enter saved details).
Then it always asks me to set a pin which I assume is for fast app access, which is great, but when I come back to log in I don’t get asked for that pin, I get asked for the whole log in again.
No improvements to app ever
THE SERVICE
Nectr was only good because they use renewable energy and their rates did beat anyone. Now their energy buy and daily rates are comparable to industry top dogs but without the service of the best. The solar Tarif rate is surprisingly awful for a renewability orientated company. When I complained they said the industry is probably going to remove feed in tariff anyway. OKAY, weirdly discourage renewable energy then. So I left their 3.5cents /KWh and went to Origin’s 14.
THE APP
Over the 9 month period I was with Nectr, the app never improved. The usage data was purely projected based on prior and didn’t use my smart meter (Nectr rep told me). Eventually they removed the usage data as it was obviously useless.
The sales rep who brought me onto Nectr originally told me there was usage data so learning all of the above was so frustrating.
The app is also just terrible. It prompts me to create my passcode almost everytime I use it, and everytime i do, so it just forgets my passcode.
The billing also comes crazy late.
Massive lag
This app is far from terrible, however I have tried to use it to figure out why our usage spiked recently and it offers no help at all.
The values for the projected bills, estimated current bill, expected usage today and even the supposed number for solar feed in seem to change both up and down a bit at random.
Why not just share the actual data on usage? You clearly have the live usage data, otherwise the numbers couldn't change that often. The number of $ you think you will charge me is extremely useless without knowing what time of that day that $ is for.
Also, why does the logo when opening this app pause my music if I'm listening to something?
