Suncorp Bank Secured 4+

Like all products from Suncorp, this app is frustrating, unnecessarily complicated and infuriatingly full of bugs. I managed to log in and input a pin, the app then crashed before finalizing. I tried to log back in to restart the process, and it wouldn’t accept my ID and password that I had literally just used a moment ago. It has an option for “forgotten credentials” that takes you only to a phone number- no option to retrieve credentials online. Not to mention that I shouldn’t have needed to ‘retrieve credentials’ because the details and password I was using were correct.
After I called the number provided and sat on hold for 10mins, the rep told me that the app has known problems and I should just uninstall and reinstall. That did the trick.
Honestly, with all the time and energy I’ve put into trying to get Suncorp apps and websites working I could have just moved all my accounts to a new bank and it probably would have been quicker.

Installed Suncorp Secure (an app that just produces tokens, why not call it Suncorp Tokens), I was able to create ONE transfer. Now I only get the message that 'something went wrong, we are having some technical difficulties, try again later'.

Suncorp Secure can be installed on one device only (don't ask why), and refused to be installed on my Samsung A71 phone. So now I can only check my balance if I have my ipad with me.

I'll spare you all the crazy hoops that are required to get Secure to work (a new user ID needs to be created, no idea why, again), but take some time off and have the valium ready, would be my advice. Or stick with the 'normal' app.

I cannot understand the poor ratings. If you use internet banking, it appears in the past you could buy a Security Token. This has been replaced by downloading this App. When you open Suncorp Internet Banking on your PC you have to enter your Customer ID, your Password and there is another field, Security Token. It’s here you open the Suncorp Secure App and it generates a Security Token Number which you copy and enter into your Internet Banking Screen on your PC. What could be easier. I assume the same works if doing your banking via the Suncorp Bank App. which works like your PC’s Suncorp Internet Banking, but just on your mobile phone.
