The AMEX points integration is enough of a reason to use Webjet on a time. Even without that though, I believe it’s the best side-by-side comparison & booking app that’s easy to use for both domestic and International, out of Australia. I fly approximately once a week for business and I usually book travel through my EA. Occasionally though, I might need to book a flight at short notice due to travelling with friends, or being a funny time of day. I remembered Webjet from the very early days of web-based travel sites and they have stood the test of time. I used the app for the first time in the last few months and found it seamless. Since then, I have used it a couple of times and have had similar experiences. All of the carriers you need for Australian domestic travel are there, it’s a great side-by-side comparison, and you can store your frequent-flier details and travel details there, so you are not refilling forms every time. The booking fees are minimal, certainly less than if you were to jump from side to side yourself and spend time comparing side by side just to save a few dollars. You save it back in time and effort, as well as getting the flights. You actually wanted for the best price. Five stars for busy people who value their own time and energy.

I’ve used Webjet now to book 4 major holidays I’ve taken, to the US, China, Philippines and Canada, as well as many local bookings around Australia. By far it has been the most reliable and easy way of booking your own holiday. In the event I ran into an issue while overseas (which happened the last trip to the Philippines) the crew at Webjet had my flights resorted within hours or the issue occurring. The Hotel bookings are just as easy! When it comes to the price, it’s hard to argue, I’ve not found much cheaper anywhere else and I find myself always coming back to Webjet for truat and peace of mind. Highly recommended you try here for all your holiday booking requirements!
Very hard to deal with

I booked a flight from Auckland to London return on the Webjet web site. As soon as I had paid fir it I realised that the return flight included a stop over in Brisbane fir 8 hours so I rung webjet to have it changed. I was on the phone for an hour, finally the flight was changed and I made the fee for that. A couple of days later I checked the confirmation email confirming the changes and found out the return flight was now for the wrong month. In fact we were leaving Auckland on the 8/8 which was correct and returning from London on the 11/08. Which should have been the 11/10 so when the customer service person changed the return flight they booked it on entirely the wrong month. Lucky I looked as I would have not found out until we got to the airport. When I contacted then again they did fix it up with no charge but so they should have. Today I have been on a live chat with Webjet for over an hour talking to two different people who asked me the same questions, then I got disconnected and nothing was fixed. I was enquiring about paying to upgrade our flights. They are quick to take your money but aren’t interested after the booking. The last customer service person had, and confirmed my email address so when the live chat stopped they should have contacted me but that hasn’t happened.

Wouldn’t Recommend if you have to ever change flight times

Tried to change my flight times and boy was it a mess, originally requested an earlier flight (5hrs Earlier from original) and as expected a surcharge was added. Once the invoice was paid it all went downhill, on top of paying a $400 difference for an earlier flight they downgraded my flight from business to economy. A downgrade I wasn’t willing to pay $400 more for, even though this change was only meant to be time not service.Upon realising this I called Webjet to investigate in which I was told “we are unsure why this was downgraded,””we are happy you noticed as this didn’t flag in our system” & it would take around 48 business hours to change the flight back. 24hrs later received a call and they could no longer upgrade this flight back to business as it wasn’t longer available and then had to change to another earlier flight (12hrs earlier than original). This now puts me out of pocket as I have to amended all details of the original trip to accommodate this flight time change.Don’t get me wrong the people I have dealt with on the phone have been amazing in customer service, but the overall service offered by Webjet, the time it takes to amend a clearly mistaken booking and the inability to provide the service that they are known for was disappointing.Would not recommend if you ever have intentions of amending your booking.
