My go-to for holiday and flight bookings
I’ve been using Webjet for years to book flights, accomodation and hire cars. The platform is excellent for getting flight options and comparing prices and is flexible enough to book part of all of the holiday. COVID caused multiple disrupted bookings for me & my family, but the customer service was amazing and helpful given how difficult times have been during the pandemic. It can be easier to make changes if you book direct with the airline, but I still use and recommend Webjet; it can be a one stop shop.
I had two flights booked to Mackay which we needed to cancel due to Covid I was on hold on the telephone for two hours 45 minutes two hours 36 minutes and one hour 14 minutes never spoke to a person. Then went on the Facebook and manage to get somebody after about 45 minutes to an hour and they cancelled the car and gave me credit. We then booked a credit over a week ago to use it because everyone’s over Covid and never heard back so last night I phoned to find out what was going on. I was on the chat on the
App for four hours in that the last hour I was on a chat with somebody by the name of MJ who could not do my one flight so you just book me another plant fight the forecast surprise never bothered to get back to me when I asked him is there a later flight ended up my daughter having to phone again and was on hold for another four hours with the app to get it sorted out your service is absolutely atrocious it is I come from a third world country and I’m now in the first world country and I think if I was Avenue Africa I would’ve got better service. I think it is absolutely disgusting I will never ever refer Webjet to anybody just to the lack of service please feel free to contact me about this if you want to thank you.
No service when you need it
I booked flights and insurance through Webjet. I get an email from the airline telling me there has been a change to my flight but they can’t tell me what and I have to contact Webjet. You can only call or chat message. Why you can’t leave a message and get them to contact you I do not know! Firstly calling means very very long delays and your phone drops out. Secondly even the messenger chat took at least an hour to connect then it dropped out and other hour and another drop out. I call the airline and wait an hour to find out that the change is a five minute delay in departure!!! They also said I had accepted the change and I had received something from Webjet but no I didn’t. On the app it says you can check airline updates to itinerary but clicking but No you can’t - nothing happens. Or you can go to FAQ and find the link to get an updated itinerary from the airline - nope - you end up at a blank page. So I’m still waiting to hear from My Travel Agent Webjet about the change. I WILL NEVER USE WEBJET AGAIN!
