One stop shop for all your booking requirements
Originally used Webjet sparingly through web page but after several seamless trips including accommodation and car hire bookings I got the App and created an account. Best move I made. Bookings a streamlined, options cover all carriers, accommodation options are broad as is car hire. Add to that the ease of managing booking changes and you have a one stop shop for sure.
Misinformation and excess Luggage charges for allowed luggage weight
On our recent flight to Japan I was instructed by someone on a Webjet web chat that we had to be at Newcastle Airport 3 hours early for our 6am flight as it was considered an international flight. Newcastle Airport doesn’t even actually open until 4am, so we sat outside in the pitch dark for over an hour before any staff arrived to open the airport and check us in for what turned out to be a domestic flight, we were charged an excess luggage fee even though we were well under 30kg of baggage that was allowed on our ticket, then had to collect our luggage at Brisbane and make our way with it to the international terminal where it was then that we were checked in as international passengers.

International Itinerary change - no communication
I booked two months prior to my travels.
I depart tomorrow.
I checked the flight schedule to find a change to my return flight by the air carrier, putting my flight back 1 hour. This means I would arrive at my connecting flight in another country 10 minutes late and therefore I would miss my flight.
Webjet did not inform me of the itinerary change, in fact I received zero communication from them. I am self informed so to speak! I informed them of the change in flight times.
I have contacted Webjet twice in the past 24 hours to inform and confirm if they have arranged a seat for me on the very next flight. The next flight would have me arrive at my destination 2 hours behind the arrival time of my original booking.....Still no confirmation and still waiting......Webjet what are you doing?
I can book a seat on this flight myself, as there are still seats available!!!!!
Webjet pease don’t send or reply with a ‘customer service’ or ‘quality improvement’ piece. Allocate this time to book my seat on the plane please!

For international schedule changes, within an hour of the airline notifying us of a change, Webjet’s automated system send an email (to the email address used when making the booking) for the customer to accept of decline the change.
If you decline the schedule change, you have the option to add a note to provide a preference for an alternative.
