Here are a few of the main enhancements you'll find in the latest update:
- Webjet are now required by government to collect additional contact information from each flight passenger for contact tracing purposes. At the time of booking your flight, the additional information we collect will include: postcode, email address and phone number of all passengers within a flight booking (only for Australian customers).
- As travel insurance now includes COVID cover, we've done some polishing of the insurance panel so that you can easily spot the benefit.

Seach works fast
Im giving you this rating purely on the ability to search easy quickly. In particular this is in comparison to individual Airlines searches
The ones ive tried are clunky slow annoying abandonment material. I dont have the time to navigate around an application’s poor user experience or flaky behaviour. Its like they dont want you to find out anything. Madness.
Anyway so i think so far just searching you re already ahead.
I have booked domestic flights with you before. Maybe two years ago. As you go through It feels like a lot of fees added on. And maybe as a customer not getting the direct customer service of the airline. Like maybe Webjet is too online to feel like youve commected with the organisation itself.

Webjet are thieves
I bought an overpriced 5 night package deal to the Gold Coast but was desperate to see my grandchildren and when the borders closed, tried to contact them (hugely difficult and anxiety provoking experience as the site is hard to navigate and information is unclear) but eventually was told my holiday was non-refundable. This was only mentioned in tiny small print in one of the eight emails they sent when I bought the deal, they are taking no responsibility and I will NEVER use them again. It looks like the insurance I bought from them also leaves me nearly $4000 I may as well have thrown in the bin. UNETHICAL THIEVES and use them at your risk as this was mentioned once in tiny small print and consumers should be made more aware before purchase. They have ruined our Christmas and it feels like they have stolen from us.
Misinformation and excess Luggage charges for allowed luggage weight
On our recent flight to Japan I was instructed by someone on a Webjet web chat that we had to be at Newcastle Airport 3 hours early for our 6am flight as it was considered an international flight. Newcastle Airport doesn’t even actually open until 4am, so we sat outside in the pitch dark for over an hour before any staff arrived to open the airport and check us in for what turned out to be a domestic flight, we were charged an excess luggage fee even though we were well under 30kg of baggage that was allowed on our ticket, then had to collect our luggage at Brisbane and make our way with it to the international terminal where it was then that we were checked in as international passengers.
