When you download or update this app, or when you apply for, enrol in, or use a service through mobile banking, we may collect information about your computer or device, operating system, internet connection or telephone account, settings, IP address and device locational data, and transaction data, as well as personal information.

For iPhone users, Scotiabank used to have a widget when you swipe left, if you chose to enable auto display I think it was called, you could see exactly what was in your accounts without even opening the app. Now.. I must say, the new interface of the scotiabank app is great. However, getting rid of the widget was just a horrible decision in my opinion. I wish I had never updated. There was nothing wrong with the old app. Not impressed and honestly thinking of switching banks now because I have to use double the data every time I check my banking. Do not update until it’s necessary.

Fix this or I’m taking my 30 year business elsewhere. Who is responsible fo making the decisions to release this without many of the previous features we rely on- like future date bill payments. Telling me to login on line is insulting. Why do you have an app?

I much preferred the app before this recent update. It is harder to navigate and you have to click around to see all of your accounts info. I liked clicking on the account and having all of the info in one easy to find place. Where’s my cash back value on my Visa? Why can’t I see reoccurring bills? You totally messed this up. The previous app version was great. Bring it back ASAP. This seriously makes me want to switch banks. I should be able to do more with my phone, not less....

Your delight at finding one good review every one hundred bad ones is both childish and an indication that you don’t really want or mean to hear what we, the bank’s customers, are nearly unanimously saying: get rid of this trash. The outcry against this app is so overwhelming as to be unprecedented. Doesn’t that tell you anything? Whose idea of customer service is this?Designed by a committee, implemented by rookies and defended by spin doctors. Congratulations, team -you’ve managed to produce the app from hell.
