Ratings and Reviews
Possibly the best night out ever
The service was sublime, the food was better and the atmosphere made a private party at the White House seem like a 2am party at a strangers house that had long run out of booze.
We were personally greeted at the door by Micah Richards as Gary Lineker parked our 1983 Ford Cortina. Fiona Bruce was incredible as a compare, when Richard Wilson heckled her she retorted “I don’t believe it!” - leaving Bill Beaumont and the rest of the Question of Sport team crying with laughter.
A minor hiccup occurred when Huw Edwards slipped on a truffle dropped by Gordan the Gopher and uttered an expletive used almost exclusively for ITV post watershed (yes it was that bad).
The entire crew of channel 5 tried getting in but bouncers Andy Crane and Noel Edmunds made quick work of them, applying The Legion of Doom finishing manouever on each and every one of the three-strong party.
By the end of night Zoe Ball was craving for attention, telling people that she’d take her tights off for a sumbucca, and despite her undeniable good looks, only Louie Spence took her up on the offer out of sheer pity.
It truly was a night to remember, me, my Nanna and Bruce Willis will never party like this again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Well laid out which makes it easier to read. Content is spot on too.
Two reasons for not giving 5 stars. First, is that sometimes when you click the football teams to see who scored the goals and read the match summary, it does not work.
Second, it would be nice if when a football match is being shown live on tv, the select to view option was easily situated on the front page so I don’t have to go searching for it.
No longer very good
As other have said, often freezes as it refreshes rather than doing it in the background. It can take ages to load content when clicking on a link, even if internet connection very fast. The home button, on the other hand, does not refresh content, so that if you are coming from, say, my sport, you still see last nights stories. In addition, there are fairly frequent spelling mistakes, it is very England centric so that the current coverage of the athletics world champs Doha does not feature any sports that don’t contain an English competitor or tell you who won if the English person came 4th, and the analysis pieces are often trite. It used to be the place I turned to for all my sporting needs, but it is now essentially just annoying.
