Best childcare platform

Bubble is the best childcare platform by far. The well designed UI feels clean and makes navigation easy and the core functions provide a good experience overall.

However, there are some areas for improvement:

- Bug currently prevents the sharing of user profiles (the profile URL leads to a blank screen). This is a shame as this is a key way for sitters to introduce parents to Bubble and grow the user base.

- It would be useful to be able to message a parent to query a job before applying for it. There are multiple jobs posted that do not include sufficient information, but currently the only way to find out more is by applying, which risks the sitter being penalised if they subsequently have to cancel.

- The introduction of filters is really helpful. However, it would be good to add further options, such as to filter jobs by child’s age, and to search for jobs in more than one location, particularly for sitters who are students so they can view jobs for both university and home locations.

- The connected element of the app is a great idea, but relies solely on Facebook as far as I’m aware. The option for parents (and perhaps sitters) to add each other as contacts within the app would likely increase the level of connectedness of app users, particularly for those parents who may be colleagues or whose children attend the same school or nursery, but are not Facebook friends.

One of the best apps out there

I’ve been using Bubble for a few years and cannot fault the app or the team behind the service. The app is extremely user friendly and easy to use and far exceeds others on the market. Bubble isn’t only my favourite (and now my only) babysitting platform but I far prefer it to any other job-related apps for other casual work such as pet-care or tutoring. In my experience Bubble has been the safest and easiest to use platform, and despite recently increasing their platform fees the fees are still very low compared to similar services on the market - and you are insured on all bookings through the app for free! Wether you're new to babysitting or an experienced childcare provider, I highly recommend Bubble for parents and sitters.

Nice but far from excellent

I like this app for any extra during weekends I don’t have plans or have days off from my main nanny roll.

It’s an app FOR parents and made for them, babysitter here doesn’t take much benefits from apart from paying fees, they can cancel even when you get to the place and without paying NOTHING or ANY FEE at all for your time of booking and waste of travel.

This have to change, if a uber gets a fee of time waste for a cancel trip, am I not worth a compensation of my time and money to travel there? Wouldn’t be fair for those parents to pay a fee as a part of booking? Luckily some parents do pay a compensation or the sit but that unfortunately doesn’t happen often.

Friends of mine have had their profile blocked because cancelled sits, for personal or work related emergency which on the child careers world happens a lot. They don’t care or ask you why you needed to cancel, so it just what parents wants and their needs.

I’m aware of it, which the reason why I only do occasionally sits with and not long ones because it’s useful to be honest but I wouldn’t trust only this for jobs.

This app need to improve and protect the workers that make you earn money, I have a fee taken from every job and I don’t feel well treated or respect. There’s a lot more to change to be a trusted app.

Hope the Bubble team can take the advise and look after the sitters betters.

When it comes to cancellations, it is always something we look into case by case and apply a common sense approach. We understand that sometimes a cancellation is unavoidable on either the parent or the sitter’s side. There is a goodwill payment system in place that many parents use and using the app provides many benefits for sitters, such as insurance and meeting new families and winning more work. Platform fees cover the costs of running the platform and reduce over time with every sit. We're proud how sitters on bubble earn more per hour on average then with any other similar service.
