Good rental service, poor app experience
Forms dont feel ios natural, difficult to tap, the fields wont support the auto fill so I entered all my details by hand instead of using pre stored information from ios and password manager. The screen layout seems to be for smaller devices so had the ugly top and bottom margin, as well as some weird keyboard slides that looked odd. Overall the whole process is a bit of a hassle... when it should be pain-free and smooth.
No refund paid yet.
I rented a 9 seater a week ago, done all the checks the next day we (family) we’re going to safari park at the beginning of our journey one of the door won’t open and we had no time to return the 9 seater as we were getting late. Upon returning I explained to one of the guy who checks the return cars everything I was told you are eligible for a refund because of the mechanical issue with the car. So I was told I will get a refund some money in my account. I waited a few days but instead getting the money in my account it was taken out from my account. I called the customer service and I was informed that I will only get the refund but not the money which is taken out from my account. I said but that doesn’t called a refund it’s my money plus a refund should be transferred into my account but I only got back one payment don’t know if it’s the refund or my money. I have emailed customer service but no one is bothered to reply me. Taking money out of your account and transferring it back doesn’t call refund. It’s as simple as that. Without my authorisation you took money from me. It’s not right I will definitely make a complain to the authorities who issues you the rental business licence.
App continues to reflect horrible backend
Just to start; the app works - it allows you to book a car and review the booking (that’s pretty much it). But the user experience is clunky and horrible. It contains a hoard of unnecessary clicks (why do you have to tap ‘login’ when you already have the login details prefilled?!), inconsistent results (eg. you cannot seem to compare two different CPDs), lack of basic OS support (eg. Touch ID).
It doesn’t delight like other best of breed apps do and always leave a bitter aftertaste (what was really the rate? did it go through? why can I not see my booking history?)
