There’s nothing quite like Solitaire. This classic game can be as peaceful or intense as you’d like—and we can’t decide if we’d rather compete with the clock or just relax and reshuffle until we find the right card. Microsoft’s updated the experience with colorful backdrops and plenty of new modes. And yes—they’ve kept that iconic jumping-cards victory screen.

I only recently discovered this game site and I have become addicted!! So many games are just too easy/too hard I love that each card game has several levels to suit people’s different abilities. Also excellent is the “How to play” section which taught me how to play Klondike which turned out to be easy to learn and an enjoyable game. I never understood what Freecell was about, it always seemed so complicated but following this site’s instructions I gradually got to understand the rules. I did not mind ending early many games because I had “trapped” myself and despite still playing at the “easy” level I have come to love Freecell, to enjoy using my brain to master the strategy of each game. This site continues to give me hours of fun as I love the challenges of each game me. Oh, and I love at any time/part of the game for a few moments or for many hours (overnight or because of other things to do) you can stop playing and return to continue the game without penalties - brilliant!! Just wish you could add more games like Hearts or is this on another selection??!!
Good but needs to be simpler to suit the simple games

Solitaire and other card games on here are simple games suited to tube journeys and trains. It’s very frustrating to not be allowed to play it when your on the tube which doesn’t have internet because you have to sign in and see an annoying ad play. The advert always comes on loudly there is no option to mute the app by default as with most games and you can’t seem to mute it until two seconds of crap blaring out your speaker so that everyone on the bus stares at you. There’s absolutely no reason to require the internet or ads to play something as simple as a game of solitaire when the game play itself has never evolved from 90s windows computers. Even when I have full signal and 4G the apps servers won’t recognise that I have internet on a lot of the time anyway. Can I not simply play a game of cards?
Ads are an issue
Thackersaurus
The games themselves are fine, but roughly 1-2 times per week the app will say there’s additional content when really what you’ve already downloaded gets wiped, so you have to download the same content again - this is things like additional themes. It seems like a bug? I prefer the dark theme, especially if I just want a game of solitaire to wind down before bed, but it gets removed and I have to re-download it on a weekly basis, which is annoying. And the ads drive me nuts - some are fine, but others come blasting out and have a runtime of 30s, and there’s one particular rogue ad that comes up as a black screen with no way to close it, and tapping anywhere opens a browser ad. The only way I can get rid of it is to close the app altogether. If I could do a one-time purchase to remove ads I would, but a monthly subscription seems too pricey, especially considering you can access these same games on a Windows PC without a fee.I do like solitaire and these offer a nice challenge, from easy to expert level. It’s just the ads and content bug spoiling it.
