Our main Vintage Inn’s pub to visit was the Grayhound , great outside space and plenty of parking. Not as welcoming as the Blackhorse Pilgrims Hatch. The staff are extremely welcoming and engaging even when it’s just for drinks, not so in the Grayhound. You don’t seem to get the same feeling when ordering drinks as thou their not interested. When sitting down for food completely different. The Blackhorse staff appreciate both aspects of a country pub. Drinks with the dog and snack as well as sitting down for lunch and dinner. Main menu food in both pubs are great and value for money.

I have always used the website to make bookings before, but decided to give the app a go as I thought this might simplify making future bookings. So after downloading the app I registered, which involved giving my details (name, email, postcode, phone number, date of birth). So imagine my disdain when it came to making a booking with the app- all it does is run the website in the app. And guess what? The website then asked me for all my details! So once again I had to enter my name, email, postcode, etc.What a wasted opportunity. Surely the app can enter these details rather than having to enter this manually with each booking? I may as well just use the website and at least control opting out of the cookies that I don’t want.“Nice try but no cigar Vintage Inns” as they say...

Lunching ladies
Three cups Stamford Bridge ,we visit on a regular basis and always find the staff so efficient especially Reg who we have got to know well .He always gives us a warm welcome ,wonderful service and can’t do enough for us .We never feel rushed and always enjoy our meals .He is a a wonderful member of your team and he always makes us feel special .Thank you Reg .

Loyalty card issue

After our meal I went to the bar to request my loyalty point. The manager said “you have to have a meal to get your point” or words to that effect. I pointed out that I had had a meal and the waiter confirmed this, however the manager refused to accept this and continued to tap at the till to find my order, after repeated tapping and me requesting that as we’d already had to wait for 1/2 hour for our food I needed to get to an appointment, he still seemed reluctant to agree we had had a meal. I said we’d ordered in the app- it transpired that the problem was my fault for not mentioning this, despite him not asking. Would anyone actually walk in off the street to claim an undeserved loyalty point? Tapping continued so I left, pointless.
