Whenever you open this app and tap, it’ll update immediately in whatever currency to whatever currency. Using this on holiday as a ready reckoner to buy goods or services to turn them back into your currency is very quick and easy.I would recommend this app to all of my friends, to use providing their using a card that uses the bank rate and not the Visa rate.If this app added where to go to buy the best currency and it took a small commission off the people that provided that currency like ( money saving expert) they app would make money and be self funding to progress to be even better than what it is.
Used to love it, ruined by ads

I never write reviews ever, but i’m genuinely fatigued by ads everywhere. It used to be just a banner on the top or bottom of the screen now you have to actually watch a full screen ad to even use this app. Were you worried people weren’t interacting with the ads? Of course they weren’t. This is a currency converter who do you all think you are? This is a tool someone is meant to use for seconds, find out how much something is and then click off. You think anyone cares about the dumb children’s games that are being shown when this is clearly an app mostly adults would use? Seriously? Now I have to be interrupted and watch an ad to use something you can access on google. I liked the convenience of it being in an app, but this is seriously nothing short of pathetic. What an absolute disappointment, the people in charge of this app should be ashamed for ruining a perfectly good app with their greediness.

It’s shown for just a few seconds while the update happens, and you can decide yourself when it’s the most convenient time to refresh. If you simply want a quick conversion, you can continue to use the app without any interruptions, just as before. Once the update is done - no more full screen ads and you can enjoy the app just as before. On holiday you are often offered the sale in home or local currency but how do you know what’s best? I have a post office MasterCard that is a bank card in Euros, in the past I’ve used the rule of thumb that the shop needs to make a profit so pay in, usually, Euros. Now I can do a quick check and on my last purchase saved £6. I don’t suppose it’s perfect but as a quick guide it’s perfect enough for me. Great functions and intuitive interface.
Upgrade needs improvement

This has always been my go to currency app, however I am currently travelling for an extended period and I was getting frustrated that I always needed access to 3 currencies - my home currency, USD and local currency - as businesses price in both local and USD, or price in USD then charge in local etc... when I saw there was an upgrade to add additional tabs I thought my problems were solved, but alas they aren’t. To line up the tabs you have to always be keying in the same currency - and this just isn’t how it works when travelling! Could be an easy fix, just add a third line for those of us who’s home currency is not USD!
Fixed a display issue that occasionally made parts of the app behave like they owned the whole screen. Everything now knows its place again. Thanks for all your feedback and support. Happy converting!
