Mobile Bank UK – Danske Bank 4+

Most of the features work great but when logging on it brings up the page I was last on which is clear to view for several seconds before it goes back to clearing the screen and asking for security to login. Don’t think you can do anything to illegally access at that point but it gives anyone a view of your account, not good. I’m using it on an iPhone 6 so not sure if you use a faster phone if that makes the transition less obvious, but it is likely still there!

No longer has a money management function
No longer the go to app for banking

A cut and paste from another reviewer but sums up entirely how rubbish this app is. Bring back the wheel

I can’t believe how bad this new app is.
It has lost its best features.
You have completely removed its function as a money management tool

1. On the old app you could easily review your income and spending over a 12 month period. I found this invaluable and it has now disappeared. There is only a ‘last 30 day’ option.

2. In conjunction with this, the old app enabled the user to categorise spending, another useful feature. This was augmented by a good use of colour coding for each category of transaction, visually very pleasing and easy to identify.

3. The use of good visuals and strong bold fonts has been replaced by icons which look like line drawings and pale blue entries which are obviously much harder to read.

4. There is a tickbox beside each transaction. I have no idea what this is for and cannot find an explanation.

5. There is a section called unseen transactions. This seems meaningless since these transactions are listed in the current account section.

6. The only good feature I can find is that the transactions go back for 2 years. However this is not as useful as it could be as the data cannot be manipulated.

I hope that Danskebank will look at this app again as I have used or seen other banking apps and this is very poor in comparison.
