Control your hearing aids discreetly with the touch of a finger
Oticon Companion provides you with discreet, improved control over your hearing aids – so you can personalize your listening experience for any environment, find your hearing aids if they become lost, get remote support from your hearing care professional when you need it, and much more.
The Oticon Companion App is compatible with all Oticon Bluetooth® hearing aids. However, some app features may require a specific hearing aid model or a firmware update. Please consult your hearing care professional for assistance with firmware updates.
With Oticon Companion, you can:
• Adjust the volume of your hearing aids and various settings (e.g. remote microphone, noise reduction, and sound and streaming equalizer)
• Switch between predefined programs according to the different listening situation you are in
• Monitor your battery levels
• Help you find your hearing aids if you lose them
• Use SpeechBooster to reduce background noise and enhance speech when you need to focus on conversation.
• Use your device as a remote microphone and get better access to the voice of another speaker in noisy environments
• Customize your surrounding sounds with the sound equalizer*
• Set and track hearing aid wear-time goals with the HearingFitness™ feature*
• Use the streaming equalizer for a personalized listening experience. The streaming equalizer is available for all Oticon Bluetooth® hearing aids except Oticon Opn™ and Oticon Siya
• Have your hearing aids adjusted and receive counseling from the comfort of your own home – via a live video call with your hearing care professional
• Handle wireless accessories paired with your hearing aids; control multiple TV Adapters or devices, such as Oticon EduMic or ConnectClip, which can be used both for streaming and as a remote microphone
* This feature is available with Oticon Real™ and Oticon Intent™

We've added the option of monitoring the charging status of your hearing aids in the app. You can check if your hearing aids are charging or fully charged while in charger.* We've also added dark mode as an option that you can select in your phone settings. And finally, you can turn on or off notifications for the HearingFitness™ feature according to your preference. *Only available with Oticon Intent™

Was great. Now only good.
This is the best way to see what the ear pieces are doing and it is welcome not to have a white background in the middle of the night when you are tired.
I used to be able to see how long I had worn the ear pieces each day and I could work out the battery use etc but the wearing time has stopped working. Not had any data recorded since the update.
The reconnecting is improving but is still not 100% and you have to quit the app fully and relaunch it before you can get to the settings.
Like I said in the title, it was a great app with quirks, now it doesn’t have functionality I use.

Have recently acquired Oticon hearing aids that can use Bluetooth and finding that combined with the Oticon Companion it is very nearly as good as having normal hearing. Plus there is the bonus of being able to switch off undesirable noises that one has to suffer with normal hearing. Life is full of joys once again.
However, having used this app for some time I find that it does not work very well, sometimes not at all. So therefore it is rather useless.
The reason is that for it to work properly or all, you have to switch off Bluetooth on any other device you have.
Which is a bit silly. Especially if you have to use Bluetooth on those devices.
I now do not use the app, which is a shame.

At last, it’s working!
Version 1.3.0 connects fairly reliably, much better than 1.2.2 which was dire. Thank-you. For me and my Oticon Engages HAs I’m not sure what benefits it offers me over the controls available on the iPhone - which are easier to access. My HAs are not rechargeable, the equaliser is absent and I don’t have remote sessions with my audiologist. The only thing I might use is the “find my hearing aids” function. I guess it’s worth keeping, just for that.
