Thank you & well done to the developers who are adding the ability to pause & rewind live streams, this was long overdue. Your UK Premier League rival TNT Sports’ app has been streaming at 60 Frames Per Second for years, dating back to when it was BT Sports, please can we see that introduced as standard? Also, while the interactive button on the Sky box allows highlights/chosen incidents to be chosen & displayed, please can you align your app with this while streaming games? Again, the BT Sport & TNT Sport apps have the timeline able to be displayed with icons for yellow/red cards, in rugby, it shows penalties, tries & conversions etc. Can we please see these features/functionality replicated on Sky Go as well as the Sky Sports app? Some of us are Diamond customers (over 15 years subscribed to yourselves). If ‘upstarts’ in the broadcasting market such as BT then the Discovery Group (including TNT Sports) are able to offer 60 Frames Per Second streaming as well as an interactive timeline where you can select icons to jump the screen back to those live moments, then surely Sky as the market leader & most people’s favourite pay TV provider (rather than everyone like Setanta, then BT/TNT, DAZN, & countless other companies all wanting a further subscription on top of our existing Sky subscription, then Sky should at least be offering small wins like a better streaming app. Sky Sports + (being free & showing a huge number of streams at the same time to choose from) is a big win for the consumer, and may have cost Sky money to obtain, but Sky Go & the Sky Sports app really doesn’t need much money spending on it to bring it up to scratch, just some good coders & some clever/logical thinking. Thank you!
Picture in Picture

Time for you to stop screwing over your paying customers and acting like your paying customers are the ones trying to steal your content. Picture in Picture has been requested over and over. I am done asking for something so basic. Include or I’ll end your contract for good. There is literally nothing out there stopping me from watching everything for free and online and without your ridiculous app constantly badgering me, the customer, the one that is “paying” for your services for the better part of the decade. Whilst at it, fix your quality, I have a 10gbps full fibre connection, 10gbps download and 10gbps upload. There is no excuse for the quality to constantly jump about. If I wish to watch in 1080P, it must be an option to choose, same goes for 4K when I do wish to watch it on. I pay for it, it is my choice. I have zero confidence in your integrity to resolve this issue but I am at least going to try and leave this here and see if you are going to come to your senses.Edit: November 2025All the issues have been fixed and then some. They really upped the spending on the development. Sleek, smooth, Picture in Picture, superb quality. The only possible improvement needed is making this app available on MacBooks and Mac. There is a Sky Sports app to watch but it’s terrible and having this app replacing it and from AppStore would make the experience superb.
Bundesliga live streams need fixing
Vickymeldrew
Sky need to sort out their Bundesliga live streams available via this app. Yet again, such a stream repeatedly abruptly throws me out, it can then take several attempts to access the stream again. This problem is now so bad it is hardly worth these streams being available. And not to mention the near-30 second length advert you have to put up with before you can (maybe) see the stream - which also happens upon each attempt to access the stream again after having been abruptly disconnected from it. This happens no matter which device I usr the app from - iPad Air 2 or iPhone 12, both running current (most recent) software versions. On another note - as other reviewers have said, can we please not have women’s football shoved down our throats so much? It is being forced on us whether we like it or not (along with the likes of netball and women’s cricket). I wholly agree with the person who is fed up with articles being headed (for example) Manchester United, without any indication it is in fact about the women’s team; this is just not the same sport - and I am female. There should definitely be more notification options available so that women’s sport notifications are not forcibly received.
B.T sports is so much better

This app is pathetic, it’s slow, constantly crashing and poorly set out, and those are the good points, you should be able to give no stars or half a star, or five turds! 💩💩💩💩💩 because that’s all this app deserves, you pay over £30 a month for sky sports and this is the crap they throw at you, this isn’t a customer orientated app it’s typical sky, only interested in money with no regard for customer experience, I try to watch the match I get an ad first before it will show the sport I’m overpaying to watch then it fails to load so I have to watch another ad, coincidence, I doubt it, same with replays over and over again ad after ad and once you watch a replay it fails to reload the live event so you have to close the app an relaunch and then guess what, another ad, sky are so money obsessed that I’m surprised the app doesn’t access your camera to make sure there isn’t somebody watching over your shoulder and then try to charge you public broadcasting prices, I don’t have any trouble with my BT sport app, the whole experience is a hundred times better than this poor excuse for an app, their replays are in the timeline of the main video, just click and watch an tagged highlight and go directly back to the second you stopped watching, if there are goals in the other games they appear at the top, click it watch the goal and continue watching your game, with the ability to pause and rewind at will, switch games at will without interruptions and AD FREE, take a lesson sky, try putting customer experience before profits. No other paid app has ads, ads are for free apps, I’m paying a subscription and shouldn’t have to put up with it.
Bug fixes and operational improvements for a better user experience.
