Having paid a high monthly subscription for most sky packagaes I found SkyGo good. Now it keeps advising that I have not subscribed to packs that I have or that I have too many devices attached. Its pathetic trying to find out what the error messages mean or someone to fault find for you. A Sky has lots of competition and is no where near as important as it was I am sure they will attend to my problems when subscription renewal is due as I have lots of packs plus telephone and broadband which makes their lack of service even more annoying. Because of their tardy and relatively arrogant attitude in an ever more competitive market I may not renew for the first time as I am very aggrieved by lack of SkyGo. I also find better offers for my communication requirements too. SkyGo when it works is good - but mostly it does not work for me now and it is tedious and tiresome to have to keep reloading the App. Poor SkyGo service has soured my relationship with Sky overall and will result in loss of business to them from me.
Worst of the lot

Is the worst performing sports streaming app there is. Feels like other apps did when streaming first became a thing. Other apps have evolved though and the sky app just hasn’t. Bt sport destroys this app and it’s embarrassing. Low resolution streaming and Not letting us cast is utterly ridiculous. Sometimes we can’t get on the sky box so why do we have to watch on a tiny screen. Awful. When it comes to watching box sets things get worse. Apart from the constant forced ads, (this alone makes me go and watch other streaming sites, even the dodgy ones as they have less ads and a much better resolution) the UI is painful, it crashes a lot and then you have to go back to the start, watch the same 4 ads you’ve already watched 4 times per episode, so you can use the janky fast forward to get to the next set of the same 4 ads you just watched, rinse and repeat till you finally get to where you were. Wanna binge watch a few episodes? Get ready to watch those same few ads 4 times each per episode. Annoying song in those ads. Don’t worry that annoying song will be stuck in your head and you’ll develop a hatred for the product they’re trying to advertise. Worst streaming app ever by a long way. Years later and it’s still the same low res trash. The worst streaming platform in existence.Few years late. Still miles behind every other streaming app. Low res garbage.
Functionally worthless

I do not often write App Store reviews. However this app is so broken and such a rip off that I felt I had to at least make it known somewhere. I use this app for one purpose, to watch live TV when I otherwise cannot watch it on TV. Firstly, the level of ads I get from this app is unacceptable. In the era of streaming, to have ads at all is a problem. But to have ads before being able to watch live TV with ads already in is despicable. As someone who already pays £90 for a Sky subscription, and a further £10 so I can have the device slots for my family makes me want to vomit. I primarily watch F1. And to see people all over the world get a superior service, for a tenth of the price drives me up the wall. Apart from the ads, this app functions only after performing some kind of ritual to the gods of corporate TV. I have to restart my phone multiple times to even be able to get the stream up. At first I thought it was a VPN issue, which although I disagree with, I can at least understand. So I turn it off. But still it doesn’t work. Sometimes I have to restart my phone 3-4 times before the app deems my effort worthy to give me the content I pay for. Overall, disgusting user experience, abhorrent pricing, and repulsive levels of ads. As soon as I figure out how to get F1TV working, Sky will have lost my £100 a month.
Sky Go more like Sky’s gone

Quite frankly there’s little one can say about this app that even takes us to a positive. Oh wait a minute I can watch Sky shows that I pay for when I’m away from my Sky Glass; which to be fair, is most of the time. Like most people I work and away from home. Sky Go is a great opportunity to access what we pay for 24/7 but unfortunately it’s an afterthought in the minds of sky capitalists and business brains. When I restart a paused it did not continue on and seemed to forget where I was. In fact rather than continue on episode 2 it decided to go back to episode 1 and again feed me adverts that to be honest I didn’t want to see and it repeats these adverts. Over and over and over until your brain ends up exploding from out of your ears creating a fizzy mess. No I’m lying. I actually wished my brain turned into a fizzy mess to release me from this torture. In addition the picture and sound is also not great. So in conclusion this app could be great but unfortunately sky don’t see this app as being paid for but when you think about it we do. We are away from out TVs most of the time therefore we waste money every hour we are away from our TVs. Until the business brains understand this and start putting the customer experience of sky before their need to wrap us up in ads and making big cash the app will continue to languish in comparison to other streaming apps. So if you’re on a train for an hour and want to kill time it’s fine. But if you want to watch a series away from the family watching Dancing on Ice boxset I’d forget it or spend £12 a month for the sky puck which to be fair should never cost that much to access programmes you are already paying for.
