Lockdown Lifesaver

Stuck at home, so I finally downloaded the STV Player app. I should have done this months ago...amazing box sets, great catch up TV options and access to Scotland’s number one network! All this, from a brilliantly intuitive app that helps me find what I want and doesn’t bother me with stuff I don’t. Get this in your life Scotland!

Not getting what I paid for

I subscribed to STV PLAYER + to be able to watch my favourite soap whilst exercising with no adverts. A feature of the App (whether you subscribe or not) was that at the end of an episode it rolls on to the next chronological one automatically, I am about three weeks behind the episodes going out live. However, recently instead of moving on to the next episode, when one finishes it opens up the latest episode that has been put onto the player. I therefore have to stop exercising to move back to the one I want. This is an unacceptable interruption to my exercise regime, therefore if not fixed I will be cancelling my subscription.

HI, sorry you're not getting your soaps in order. As you say it should just show the next available, if you try logging out and closing the app, then going back in and this should help clear your play queue. Worst streaming app on App Store

This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used for streaming. Adverts I can cope with as a free version, but the inability to rewind or fast forward on catch up is ridiculous.
Watching ‘from the start’ I’m a celeb and sound goes, video crashes or just sticks when trying to play an app and have to re load. Tonight half way through and all went out of sync and had to close, then episode disappeared.
And before you reply with ‘it’s the device’ used on several on different internet connections and all as bad as each other. Really need to have a look at as it’s clearly unstable.

Hi, rewind and fast forward is available on all our Catch-Up content, it isn't on our live programmes and that is also where the Watch from Start feature is, but once they are available for catch-up you have full control.
