Problem solved

Have updated this review having sorted out my issue. The app and device worked really well first time out; second time out the signal kept going even though I was on the same walk as the previous day so hoping it was something to do with atmospherics etc. But when it works well, it’s a game changer for dog walks if your animal likes to do his own thing a couple of fields away!

Genuinely the worst app I’ve ever used!

I bought a Neo watch for my child. To use the watch, one must install this app on the parent’s/administrator’s phone. The whole point of the watch is to be able to contact my child, or for them to contact me, in an ‘emergency’ or at least on the spur of the moment. I’ve lost count of the number of times in the 2 months we’ve had it that I’ve been unable to use the app to contact my child. The worst episode was after the recent app update. The app was completely blank after this, other than the drop down menu, and I’ve been unable to even logout. After 2 weeks of being unable to use the app I had to uninstall it and re-download. However, even that wasn’t straightforward. When I tried to reinstall it, the app told me my mobile number wasn’t valid!!! And yes, I double and triple checked it, tried shutting down the app and starting over… I had to uninstall the app again before reinstalling it once more. It has now accepted my mobile number and all the account details seem to be there but I have lost confidence in the reliability of this app/smartwatch. If I have one more issue with the app or being able to contact my child I will be cancelling my contract and returning the watch as unfit for purpose.

so many bugs

won’t connect via bluetooth, error messages very unhelpful, hours sent messaging support who have to be contacted within the app, and conversation is then interrupted while one follows their instructions. Tracker map jumps between various past status updates and current, making it nigh impossible to tell whether you have just locked or unlocked the tracker. Help tips on various tabs include functionality that isn’t there… all in all feels like a beta test not finished product. has potential, but lots of work required, not yet fit for market.

Developer has replied on here suggesting I tell them the details - I already have, several times, this review was after a month of solutions (aka delaying tactics) by support teams, none of which addressed the actual problems. To be fair, the last straw was finding out that first line support hadn’t even raised a ticket for the second level team despite the hours already spent. I do think this app and product have potential, but I don’t think it is ready for release. I may try it again in a few years when it is fit for purpose.
