Pinch to zoom !

I’m going to re write my review as I have now found that the camera does zoom. So please ignore my last review. You just pinch the screen to do this. However having used this app for a few days now it does not work consistently. Firstly it won’t send messages to two phones only one, then it stopped sending messages all together. So now I don’t get any notifications about any movement detections.
When trying to view live camera on 4g it doesn’t like this. It is very hit and miss. Sometimes it works but mostly it won’t connect to the camera.
I rang Yale regarding some of these issues and they promised they would speak to the app development team and get back to us. They haven’t got back to me at the time of writing this. All in all i wouldn’t recommend this camera with this app until the developers have come up with fixes to these problems. I can’t trust that the camera is doing its job.

Looked promising but it's poor

So got it out of the box, and even following the very basic setup instructions it was easy to get working. Began having a play with it, and noticed that the zoom controls are greyed out. This is because the 303w doesn't have zoom, even though the box says that it has. You can 'pinch' but you just end up with a pixelated digital zoom, which is a bit of a con. The camera also doesn't like daylight. Tried it in the conservatory and it's very over exposed. Outside, forget it. You just get a white screen. The microphone is next to useless. It will pick up sounds if they're loud enough but don't expect to hear what anyone is actually saying.
Finally all this is completely irrelevant as the app doesn't work at all on 3 or 4G so remote monitoring is out. Small glimmer of hope when I unchecked the 'wifi only' switch in 'about' but it still didn't work. Money back I think. Rubbish.

Works a charm

I only have the 301W but it’s a doddle to set up through the app and it works great over wifi and 3/4G, the camera can see outside from indoors and if you switch off the infrared nightvision through the app the camera will see through glass at night. I’ll be looking at purchasing more cameras. The app also links in with the Yale Smart alarm app if you have a Yale smart alarm so you don’t need to have this App at quick reach. 8/10. Just needs X supported view now.

Even though the latest update say about being more compatible. It still doesn’t use the correct screen size as shown on the App Store. Get it stored as it’s now starting to look a little amateurish.
