Overall very happy

Just bought the 2 camera cctv unit for my wife’s house. Quite easy to install considering I’m hopeless at technology. One problem I have is that on the app my wife’s and step sons phone when an alert goes off they see a time that the alert goes off and are able to view it and record it or take a picture manually. Mine doesn’t. Wen I click on alerts it says no recording. My brother downloaded the app out of curiosity and works fine on his. Deleted and downloaded the app again on my phone. Still doesn’t work. All the settings are the same and I’ve got the lastest software on my phone. Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks Alan Stringman.

App is rubbish

Had the Hik vision installed in my previous house for 8 years and controlled everything through an app the whole time and I had no problems. Moved houses and decided to go for Yale as we had their self install alarm system previously which was good plus they now offered cctv systems with professional installation too. We have this app on 2 separate devices and it keeps going offline even though the internet connection is good and stable, every time it does that I have to either go into the loft and switch the mains off and on or turn the electricity off at the fuse box. Takes ages to load live stream and recorded footage and even longer if your using 3/4G. Once you’ve recorded previous footage and you go to view what has been recorded the app shuts down and this happens every single time on both devices. I purchased 4 mega pixel cameras yet the app shows and records in SD version, very bad quality as you can’t even read a number plate in broad daylight because it’s so blurry, realised afterwards there is an icon to switch to HD in live view which is crisp quality but what’s the point if it’s recorded in SD!! Have had numerous log in failure attempts although my log in details are correct. Also 2 devices cannot log onto the app at the same time. If I am watching from my device and my husband logs on his device it logs me out automatically. Come on Yale sort it out, your camera systems are not exactly cheap either.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. From your description I assume you are using a WiFi bridge to get the network connection to the DVR in the loft? If that is the case try rebooting just the WiFi device the network cable plugs into as I believe that may be causing your issue.

On the DVR you can figure if the camera records HD (Main-Stream) or SD (sub-stream) in the Storage-Record settings and you can change the resolution for each stream in the Camera settings.

To allow more than one person to view the cameras you need to create an account for each user. The account owning the camera can then share the camera with the other user.

Thanks,

Yale

Great cameras poor app & after sales !

bought the gen 2 wired cameras all good with set up picture quality, recording & reviewing footage on the tv ,however when it comes to the app & after sales what a total let down ! You cannot view recorded footage on the app & only one person can be logged in at a time it boots the other one out of the system in a family of 5 everyone would like to have access to review footage not just one person, the ideaof having these cameras was that footage can be viewed on the app rather than having to sit in front of the tv every morning! It’s a joke ! You view a live feed on the app bit who had time to sit there all day & watch it & then press record yourself if you see something ?????? Makes no sense !!
Also after sales are useless the phone number I was given is no longer in use I’ve trawled the internet looking for another no luck ! The email addresses I sent emails to have come back failed to deliver ..... so please Yale if you are reading this I need help !!
Sort it out !

Hi,

Thank you for your comments, I'm very sorry to hear that you've had such a bad time.

To view recorded video in the app select a camera then tap on "View record history" under the payback. You can then select a day and scroll through the recorded footage.
