I have been using Apple’s new Journal app for a few weeks now, and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I like the simplicity and privacy of the app, which offers prompts and suggestions based on my photos, locations, and activities to help me journal my daily entries. On the other hand, I feel that the app lacks some features and polish that would make it more enjoyable and useful.• First of all, the app needs some improvement in UI design. The app is mostly a white screen with a “+” button, which looks bland and boring. The suggestions are often repetitive or irrelevant, and there is no way to customize them or filter them by category.• Secondly, the app needs more features to make it more versatile and fun. For example, I would like to see more options for formatting, such as fonts, colors, or bullet points. The app also does not have any social or sharing features, which would be nice for those who want to share their journals with friends or family.• Thirdly, the app needs a calendar view to make it easier to navigate and review my entries. Right now, the app only shows a list of entries sorted by date, which is not very convenient or intuitive. A calendar view would allow me to see my entries at a glance, jump to a specific date, or compare different periods of time.In conclusion, Apple’s Journal app is a simple and smart companion for your memories, but it has a lot of room for improvement. I hope that Apple will listen to the feedback from the users and add more features and polish to the app in the future. I would rate the app 4 out of 5 stars.
