Description

Product of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Q+ is the future of QR based payments in Sri Lanka. This app could also be used around the world and supports both Visa and MasterCard QR Code payments. This app is not restricted to merchants of any particular bank, this could be used locally and globally to process QR based payments.

Any of your COMBANK issued Credit, Debit or Prepaid card could be registered to make the payments through this app. MasterCard, Visa and Lanka Pay cards can be added to the app and you can add up to 5 cards to your app.

Payments can be done by the click of a button. All you have to do is scan the QR and enter the amount and the PIN. Payments are process fast and secure.

Transaction history inquiry can be done up to 06 months transactions. If there is a dispute about the payment transactions, such as duplicate posting, you can raise the dispute through the app.

The App doesn’t work anymore

I install the app sometime back and I have used it a couple of times. Today I tried to re-run the app but it keeps reporting a technical error when I try to sign in. I called the bank and they said that there is an update. Sadly the update requires iOS 14 and that doesn’t work on my iPhone 6.
If the software demands high requirements I don’t think that it is a good idea because that would mean that all users need to have the latest devices and operating systems. So I think it’s time for me to stop using the Q plus app

Bug detected

When the app opens the camera to scan the QR, it gave me an error message “This phone does not support QR scanning”, while I had used the app to scan and pay several times a day.

Outdated interface and function issues

App has the option to change pin but when ever I try to it gives out a technical error. It has never worked. Furthermore, every time you logout it automatically starts Face ID and reload you in unless you turn the phone away. Last but not least, the interface and icons look so very outdated, which is not a huge issue but would be nice to see something that represents the current times.
