Enhancing User Experience and Security with Face ID Confirmation

This app is better than the previous ones and can be used for daily purposes. However, if you could add a confirmation before scanning Face ID, it would be great. For example, Apple Store purchases require pressing the power button twice before scanning Face ID. This lets the user know they are about to make a purchase and have only one step left. Otherwise, the transaction would be completed immediately, and the user wouldn’t be able to stop it if they made a mistake.

It is indeed commendable and offers a highly user-friendly experience. However, I would like to highlight a few areas of concern with this version, with hopes that they will be addressed in your next update:1. The absence of a money transfer facility from foreign currency accounts to local currency accounts.2. The inability to view the interest amount after the maturity period under FD accounts.3. The layout of the footer bar, which could be optimized by placing the “send” and “pay” buttons separately instead of nesting them within a single button, thereby streamlining the user experience.4. The issue of beneficiary and sender remarks being positioned beyond the visible area when sending money via saved payees, leading to potential errors. It is crucial to make these fields more noticeable to prevent failed attempts.5. The absence of the account name when sharing an account.6. The visually appealing texture on accounts and cards, although impressive, can sometimes disrupt readability when viewing texts and numbers.I trust that you will consider these suggestions for improvement in your future updates. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it reaches Sampath Bank’s Customer Relations and Management teams.Recently, a new LKR 100,000 transaction limit was imposed on my mother’s account without prior notice. This required us to visit the branch to resolve the matter. The Branch Banking Officers handled it professionally and efficiently, and we truly appreciate their support.However, the lack of prior communication and the way the change was implemented created avoidable inconvenience for both customers and branch staff. It appears that certain digital or system-level decisions may not always be fully aligned with day-to-day banking realities, resulting in additional workload for the Officers who must manage customer concerns arising from app-related issues.The previous version of the app was noticeably faster and more straightforward. The current experience has been less efficient, and this has influenced some of my personal banking decisions. That said, my mother has chosen to remain with Sampath Bank because of the exceptional professionalism, kindness, and knowledge of the branch staff. Their dedication, responsiveness, and genuine care are what truly build long-term customer trust. I respectfully encourage the Bank’s leadership and digital teams to work closely with experienced banking professionals when implementing system changes. Clear communication, thoughtful design, and operational alignment would significantly reduce friction for both customers and frontline Officers.

This banking app is a major letdown. First off, it doesn’t support all the functionalities that are advertised. Once I moved to the new version of the application essential features like bill payments and some other payment details were either missing or didn't work properly. The user interface is also poorly designed. some UI navigations are missing.To make matters worse, when I reached out to the bank's support team for help, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. It seems like they’re just not interested in resolving customer issues. A banking app should be reliable and fully functional, but this one fails on both fronts. I expected much better, especially from a financial institution.I have called more than 5 times. still, I can't pay my electricity bill.
