Problems with Transferring Money

I’m lucky to not have lost money over this, but this is something I have to say cause I really can’t stand it anymore. Every time I attempt to transfer money, the loading screen takes an infinite amount of time to load. I once waited 30 minutes for this but it still continued loading. This is usually the case when I’ve confirmed and entered the PIN, which makes it worse cause it’s so close to transferring money. I have to keep refreshing the app a couple times for it to finally work, and I tried deleting and re-installing the app but the same problem arose. OCBC, please fix this. The time it takes to transfer money from this app is enough time to find an ATM without directions and transferring from there

Improvements After Multiple Updates

I really have to credit the team working on the app. Started off being really sucky with a poor interface, technical issues were abundant (as seen from the multiple poor reviews from the past) and I nearly gave up on OCBC online banking services because of this.

However, the app has really gone through multiple corrections and improvements since then (in the past 2 years!) and the interface has now improved. It loads better, data transactions are smoother, and overall much more pleasant to use. Good job team for working hard on making the quality of your product better, as part of your customer service.

There are still glitches here and there from time to time, but which app doesn’t? Continue to work hard on improving and I’m sure there’ll be better reviews to come (:

Crashes all the time

I can’t even get through half a month’s worth of transactions before they all disappear. After that I have to close the app and wait awhile before opening it again to hurriedly take screenshots of all my transactions before the app crashes so I can check them in my own time. And this happens with all the other functions in the app as well.

I also use the DBS app and they have been miles ahead of OCBC in the digital aspect over the past couple of years. I’ve been regretting switching my primary bank to OCBC because mobile banking is so central to my life, yet the poorly functioning OCBC app makes it such a frustrating and negative experience. I wish OCBC would get rid of all the unnecessary festive animations and concentrate on the actual usability of their app.

Asides from the crashing, I also don’t find the credit card new interface intuitive at all. And e-statements are insanely difficult to read on mobile. The only positive is that I like the new interface for the other supporting functions.
