App does not even open!
So so disappointing.. for a premium airline, the SQ app has consistently had issues and experience breaking bugs over the years, across both app software versions and multiple generations of hardware. The latest issue? Despite re-installing the app, closing all my other phone apps, and performing a hard reset of my phone, the SQ app can’t even load and automatically crashes.
Please guys, develop an app which does not bring down the SQ brand. Hire the best developers and maintain the software with a dedicated dev team (certainly given your premium ticket pricing you should have the margins to do this) so you can maintain a consistent and positive user experience!

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and providing us with your feedback. Appreciate if you could email sq_mobile@singaporeair.com.sg with more details so that we can assist you. Thank you.
The app should be better
The app is okay and I think some notifications are nice. One issue across app and site - if you want to upgrade for points, you always get the option to try and then are told there are no seats available. Feels like that could be done better. Or I might try to upgrade for cash and be told that since it was booked through a travel agent I can’t do that. If I can’t do it for points or for cash and it’s before the MYSQ upgrade window, why is there even an Upgrade button?
On this latest flight I had two bad experiences though. Delayed coming out of Singapore, the app notifications kept telling me an outdated departure time, that boarding had started, that I only had a few minutes before the gate would close - while the lounge team was told there was no plane at the gate. I eventually panicked and ran to the gate only to be told when I was almost there that I could just walk. But then boarding started a few minutes later and went VERY fast.
Now I’m leaving Sydney, there is a slight delay, and the app once again is sending me push notification with the wrong departure time.
Other than that, it’s fine. I could even live with the upgrade issues, but it’s a real problem to be getting push notifications that tell me to hurry up when there is no need/reason.

Not intuitive on an iPhone 6S
Sorry but sad to say, trying to confirm and check in via the Singapore Airlines app wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be. The user experience, where touching and typing in your details was difficult and it kept on sending me back to the starting page. When I tried to type in my airline frequent flier program, in this case Krisflyer and my membership number, it kept on flashing red, saying that my membership doesn’t exist! This is so wrong because at the home page, my Krisflyer number is on the top profile page. So can Singapore Airlines pls look into this? For an organization that claims service as top priority, I think those who are in charge of this customer interface should really try it themselves. SQ Quality and a customers experience and first contact, in this case the app for check-in, should be top priority. Pls look into it and I do expect an answer. With regards
