I’ve liked the app until hosts started using Travelnest on their behalf. I haven’t directly spoken with the host yet, but I have gone back and forth with Travelnest far too many times on their behalf. The payment wasn’t working, the booking wasn’t working, Travelnest’s system wasn’t working. I initially spent 2 hours the first day going back and forth; I spoke with Vrbo customer support, Travelnest customer support AND my banking all to pay for one night. Live chat wasn’t working, the system when I called wasn’t either. It wouldn’t recognize my reservation ID because it was pending forever. Then it did recognize, then it didn’t again. I had to call the customer support number that I found on Google, hit the 1st option under “Host” because the info I had wasn’t getting me past it. They didn’t recognize my card, my reservation, etc.—Then my party wanted to add a 2nd night - which should’ve been easier. I did a survey yesterday, where the agent’s help made up for all the negatives - helping me feel better about it. Today, I had emails and calls left & right again. To the point where I went over my international call limit - because Travelnest is based in London & even the payment was different. Adding a 2nd night lead to Travelnest calling me, me calling them, them sending a 2nd payment link that only said booking details and that I paid in full when I didn’t yet. I’ve been more than happy to do everything that was needed but far too many agents were not in the loop. Which lead to my frustrations on having to explain everything over again.
