Really helpful in putting the phone away and using hands free , been watching my speed , not so good on the interstate, especially when your just going with the flow of traffic and if you maintain the speed limit you’re getting run off the road when you come to a speed limit change and others don’t slow, also the hard braking seems off and inconsistent, but on the plus side , it makes you think and has made me a better driver.

We are new to this app but I can already tell it’s not as fair as the USAA driver app even though it appears to be just as accurate, maybe more so. It currently projects our family will get a 5% discount at renewal (of 25% max). We have ratings of 99, 98, and 98. Using the USAA driving app we were earning at 28% discount out of 30% max (and driving the same). This game is rigged. Somehow, dozens or hundred of drivers have 100% ratings across the board after thousands of miles? Clearly these people are throwing the curve. Is that even possible? These drivers with 100% across more than a dozen categories must be city bus drivers or bike commuters. This app is a joke. If we only get 5% at renewal I’ll go back to USAA. Did your COUNTRY agent mention the 10% new customer discount that goes away at the first renewal? READ THE FINE PRINT! Looks I’ll be paying net 5% more at next renewal based on a 5% driver discount and the loss of our (courtesy) 10% new customer discount.

This app is a steaming pile of crap. I drive very infrequently, but I signed up (reluctantly) so we could get a discount on our joint policy. I am a person who is categorically against “opting in” for any additional tracking other than what our phones already do, so that’s problem number one. But secondly, the app can never tell who the driver is, so I have to manually go into the app every week and correct every entry where my partner was the driver, Lyft drivers, bus rides, and even bike rides. Yes, I am serious… BIKE RIDES sometimes got tracked as DRIVES. (Do they actually think that I drove 10mph for 1 mile to the pool? I mean, come on). On top of it all, if you don’t look over your tracked drives within five days, they become uneditable. I already have a job and plenty of other responsibilities, I don’t need to go babysit this stupid app to tell it whether or not I was the driver each and every day of my life. Save yourself the headache and don’t bother with this stupid app!

At first, I liked having the app. It keeps track of everything like speeding and phone usage. The problem is actually the phone usage. I get dinged for having my Maps in use while driving, phone calls via Bluetooth, passengers using my phone to text, and other people calling me while my phone is in my purse. I have seen other driving apps that allow you to tap a button on the phone usage area to say someone else was borrowing the phone at that time. It’s not right to get dinged for not touching my phone, especially since it’s not illegal to use hands free devices. My vehicle is also an older model that does not have GPS capability built into the stereo, so I’m left with my phone directing me to my destinations. I will gladly update my rating if the phone usage section is updated. I appreciate the thoroughness, but this is an inefficient way to determine driving habits with a cellular device.
