I wish the app would allow users to post their light pattern creations and allow us to save between devices. I programmed the American flag for the 4th of July and would gladly share it. I have Christmas patterns on another device but can't share the patterns between my iphone and ipad. Would like to download others creations as time saver. The current app is just too time consuming even after you figure out how to use it. Sharing would resolve that. Also the lights should start the last used pattern when shut off and back on instead of resetting each time to default.

These Strawberry smart lights are cool but have their limitations. First, the color of the light isn’t very saturated like you find in Hue or Twinkly smart lights. But, you’re not paying that kind of money for these so there’s a trade off. Beyond that, the effects are limited in that you have to select the few preset animations offered in the app, but they don’t allow you to choose the colors (unless I just can’t find that ability in the app—which I’ll get to in a second). There is a “DIY” (manual) section but only offer a few animations that are rather standard. You can create your own sequence of color changes, etc. but you can change the colors in the app—which is pretty awful. In order to change the color of a light in the app, you have to use your fat finger to manually select each tiny individual bulb icon, and change the colors one by one. Nearly an impossible feat. It would be great if you could selected every other bulb, every 5th bulb, etc and then apply a color to all of those, that would be better. All in all, these have a lot of potential but are limited at the moment due to the app.

The app works well. It is fun to fiddle with all the options. I have not had connectivity issues. And it is nice there are so many preprogrammed scenes. So far I have only had one problem and maybe ½ a problem. The ½ problem is the light program will sometimes “lock up” When I use the remote control at the same time as I’m using the app. Can’t be too critical of that because I believe the app gets used for other strands/?brands of lights besides the one I have so I could see how there would be some compatibility issues there. All I have to do is close the app and hit a button on the remote to restart. My main area of dissatisfaction is in DIY mode. The program seems to want to add an extra blank panel, so my lights turn completely off while the “blank” panel runs. When I’m programming in the first DIY mode, there’s only one panel visible. I program all of that and then when it starts to work, it keeps scrolling to this area of “blank” panel which causes the lights to go completely dark for a while. The second DIY mode works. A copy/paste option for the panels would be a very nice touch, just saying. Also, an undo button in the DIY mode is much needed. A button that will just rotate all the different scenes would also be good. That’s why I’m still having to use the remote, because I sort of like it to just shuffle through all the different scenes. It would also be great if the shuffle function would include any programed DIY. Not being critical, just suggesting 😊. Overall I am happy with the app. I have a small house and these lights ARE my Christmas tree. I just hung them on the wall and arranged in a tree shape. The app allows me to conveniently change scenes and customize a little bit. And it’s fun!

I just wanted to tell about my light I have in a jar. They are very pretty and work great with this app. What I did with these 2 strands of lights were so simple, I placed these inside a jar by just stuffing these lights in side and putting the lid on and tied it with some ribbon …1 strand per jar and placed them near my tv..I operate the lights using this app. The more messy they are in the jar the more interesting the light show is. I will say this I suffer from depression and anxiety these lights help me a little and every little bit is a good thing …just add music or a TV movie. I very much recommend the lights and this app.
