Extremely Frustrating Experience for Patients Who Need Real Medical Help

Extremely disappointing experience.The app makes it almost impossible to get real help when you actually need medical support. Even with recommendations from multiple doctors, I was forced into long programs and unnecessary steps just to request a medication that was medically advised for me.I have been trying to get medically necessary weight-management medication for 8 months, recommended by both my primary care doctor and my pulmonologist, yet Transcarent continues to deny it. They keep pushing their program instead of listening to the recommendations of real physicians who know my medical history.I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, which my doctor specifically told me is a qualifying condition for coverage. Even with documentation and multiple doctor notes, Transcarent still refuses to help. Their messaging is repetitive, unhelpful, and makes it nearly impossible to receive actual care.As a full-time caregiver with no local support, I simply don’t have the energy for endless “modules” and delays. I needed real medical support, and instead I received months of roadblocks and excuses.This app has created unnecessary stress and has failed to provide the healthcare support it claims to offer.For an app that’s supposed to make care easier, it has added more stress and delays than anything else. This has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I’ve ever had.

Not worth your time and the service is subpar

The app is a bit temperamental when trying to upload or fill out the questionnaires. If you expect a quick response from the Transcarent team you are going to be disappointed. Their business hours are also difficult to work with, once you get assigned a care coordinator they will not offer much help and will ask you to call the next day until you get in touch with the assigned individual. I have been trying for 3 days and called four times to reach out for help. I finally gave up and decided to do the surgery on my own and deal with the insurance the old fashion way(by calling them and asking for the details of the expense; and guess what what, it went trouble free and they were very nice).

Don’t waste your time

This company is trash. They don’t have any idea what they’re actually doing. I had a shoulder injury that needed surgery. My doctor offered me an appointment a few weeks out. Transcarent though, kept pushing their surgery care service. Said they’d cover everything. I was already dreading the surgery bill, so that sounded great. But then they just dragged their feet getting me an appointment, and following up. Meanwhile, my injury was getting worse and worse. After weeks and weeks of nothing, I asked for news, and they said they were still waiting to hear back from a surgeon. I called the surgeon’s office myself, and heard back in a couple of hours. In the end, I had to schedule my own appointment, and pay out of pocket. This service is totally useless at best, and actively detrimental at worst.
