When I decided to pursue my ambitions in purchasing a second home, I had no idea what to expect. The process as well as the laws had changed greatly and I did not recall having to meticulously nurture every aspect of the process by continuously submitting (what seems to be) an astronomical amount of documentation. At times, I felt overwhelmingly frustrated and defeated due to the solicitation of the information that the underwriters were asking me to provide. Thankfully my loan officer (Charlie Marshman) kept me informed and aware of the process by explaining to me what the grand scheme of things entails and pointing out the importance of my providing clear concise details of each scenario that arise. Charlie (Mr. Marshman) not only soothed my feelings of frustration, but he also made sure that I would never have to wonder about where I am within the process by formulating an advisory team (Mason Radcliff and Briana Elder) immediately after my file was submitted to the underwriters. The constant communication and consoling discussions that were provided by all of the team members made me feel much better about the process and gave me confidence that this whole ordeal was going to work out in my favor. I would like to (once again) thank Charlie, Mason, and Briana for their professionalism, their support, and (most of all) their EXPERTISE and WEALTH of KNOWLEDGE throughout this entire process which turned out to be profoundly rewarding to me.

This is my second home loan from VU. For starters Dustin, Chas and the whole team in Mizzu are far and above excellent. These folks have worked so hard to help me. They break things down and explain things to me. They keep me informed and shoot me straight with everything. To be honest, I think they’d walk thru fire to assist me. Not one time have I ever not been made to feel low or stupid. They also have never left me hangin. When I can’t get a hold of one of them, I leave a message and the very first chance they get, they get right back to me. Not only that, but they call, text or email me out of the blue just to make sure I’m good and I don’t need nothing. Last but definitely NOT least, the VU representative here in western North Carolina, Angelia Peterson. She has got to be the hardest working lady I have ever met. And also, the most honest. She don’t blow smoke. She is always straight up truthful with me. Even when she cuts her own throat. She deserves a medal, trophy and any other honor she can get. She’s smart as a tack and at the same time comes down to my level to explain things.I have never felt as much love and compassion as I have felt dealing with VU. They really care about us Veterans and do whatever it takes to insure we are informed and protected. Thanks y’all.

To start off, I was only looking around on Google to see what houses were available in my price range. I didn’t really know what that range was but I was looking. I clicked on a site for Veterans United Home Loans and it started asking me for a lot of information. Me being the untrusting type, I clicked off of the site. The next day, I got a call from Kedric Busch from Veterans United and we talked about what I was looking for and what he could help me with. I instantly felt like I had an ally. Kedric is the kind of guy that you just know you could go have a beer with. I gave him all my information and suddenly I had a complete team helping me. Veterans United set me up with a realtor (who is a vet herself) and a whole finance team that helped me every step of the way. They have an app that gives me a “to do” list and lets me upload files and sign my documents. I travel a lot for work and I was a little worried about how I would work buying a house into my schedule but they make it very easy. Everything at your fingertips. I feel like there is finally an organization that is truly here to help veterans find a home without wondering if you are getting taken advantage of. If you are looking at buying a house or just thinking about it, Veterans United should be your first and last stop. This my second rodeo with VU I have been treated like family! My loan officer is one of the downest to earth people you could ever be so blessed to cross paths with ! I lost my dad a year ago he helped me patiently for almost six months it was a difficult transition my dad left four houses behind I had to put things in order ASAP at the same time juggling funeral arrangements wills lawyers subbings and of course MOM ! Wesly was not just my loan officer he was a brother when I needed it most not one to ask for help but wowww what a beautiful human being he helped me guided me consoled me even shared some tear’s with me and told me I was not alone God was with me ! Second rodeo I’m fixing to buy another duplex and I pray in another few months he will help my wife and I purchase the third rodeo !
