The ezOutlet App is for use with the ezOutlet device. The ezOutlet device is designed to auto power-cycle when network fails. Any installer knows the pains of driving all the way to a remote job site just to restart a network connection. With ezOutlet device the network device will be reset automatically, saving both time and costs. Should there be a need, the installer can also check on the status and manually reset the device via this App. ezOutlet can; a) keep-alive a network device, b) remotely power on-off-reset or c) schedule power on-off-reset. Setup is just a few simple steps of; i. Connect LAN cable and router power to ezOutlet device. ii. Install ezOutlet App on your mobile. iii. Add ezOutlet device ID to the App. a. Click ‘Add Device’ on App, b. Press the ‘Function button’ on the device, c. Enter the device ID manually or by QR code (see device label) to App. iv. Enable watchdog (auto reset) function – Done.

Scheduling a task is inoperative

I have two devices at separate locations. My first device was purchased three years ago and worked flawlessly. My second device I’ve had eight months. The second device has never worked properly, and now the first device is having the same issues. My newer device and my older device will not save a schedule. The saving function is intermittent. When it does save the schedule is deleted prior to the scheduled day. The manual reset feature is the only function that works.

This thing is advertised to automatically reset devices like cable modems when they hang and lose internet connections. Except you can't use this app without internet access! What possible reason to talk to a server just to talk to a device on the local network is beyond me.

I have used ezOutlet in front of servers and downstream of servers. And it has worked as designed perfectly. I bought the first one more than 10 years ago and it’s still in service.

Love this unit! Works as advertised. Saves me 100's of hours a year. I have many remote sites that need rebooting from time to time. Some I can't get to easily in the winter. This unit totally solved my reset problems. I have at least 12.
