Who thought it’s acceptable to ship this so that iOS users cannot to switch to the rear camera. Not only is the front camera EXTREMELY awkward to take pictures of documents with, the resolution and focus of the front camera means it’s rejecting all attempts to scan documents. If I did my job this badly I’d loose it.

From reading the other reviews, it sounds like there’s a range of experiences with the app. I just had a really smooth experience verifying my identity with a US driver’s license. Deleted the app right afterwards, though, because I thought it was odd to ask for microphone permissions.

I had the same issue that other users did where the passport wouldn’t scan. For a US passport, the Chip it’s looking for is not on the photo page, instead it’s on the very back of the passport. Move the phone around slowly on it and it should work.

Passport flow is bad. If you choose passport and your passport doesn’t have a chip - there is no logic that includes this edge case. If you try and go back to change the form of ID you want to use. You can’t. You have to proceed with the passport.
