the new update

this new update is absolutely atrocious. i understand having innovation towards wanting more for your viewers but the execution was poor.

The comment section is where I could be able to talk and relate to the interest of video and as i scrolled down i could potentially see the other videos that i wanted to watch. Moving the comments under the description is problematic because 1. it’s easily missable 2. it made going/making a comment more difficult 3. the fluidity of scrolling for other videos and going to the comments made sense 4. having the back button on the left side (in addition to muscle memory of clicking on the newly “escape” right side) makes it plain tedious.

the thumbnails are also an issue because they are too large. one video thumbnail alone takes up almost half the screen and with two of them it takes up the whole screen. less is more, and bigger doesn’t always mean better. please consider reinventing the layout because it’s problematic having people used to one idea and completely changing it.

This app is beginning to bug me.

First my review is removed. Now I gotta complain some more. Can you please fix the issue with this app refreshing in the background and a close the app while I’m listening to videos with the screen off. Every time I have to pause, then come back to hit play, I find it won’t play because the app has closed. Now I have to go back and find the video in history and also find where I left off at because it won’t play exactly from where I was at. I use this app daily for hours and hours on end while I’m at work, and it shouldn’t be like this. As a matter a fact it hasn’t been like this; this is something new that’s occurring. I pay for ad-free and to be able to play videos with the screen off, and this isn’t cool. Now, with the issues I’m having, now I see you’re increasing the month fee for premium from $15 to almost $20 (it’s 18, but it might as well be $20). Issue remain.😡🤬🤯 I use this app for about 10-15 hours a day. This is just egregious. I can’t even pause the video for even one minute without coming back to find that the app has closed again and again and again and again and again. This is the worse this app has ever been. Why am I paying you almost $20 per month for premium features when this app is misbehaving as bad as it is!? Sheesh!

Content and censorship

I like the diverse content available but abhor the censorship. Please don’t devalue the intelligence of your viewers. You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. The respect for Diversity in this nation was once taught and respected. It is what has made this country great. That’s diversity of thought, the way we do things, approach problems, social norms, and perspectives, etc. We used to not force our will on others simply because we had the votes or power to do so because it is unethical. At the end of the day it should be “reason” that wins out because we have all had a chance to examine and discuss all aspects of why we agree or disagree. Then voluntarily adopt it and not be mandated by law or policy to. ALL voices have an unalienable right to be heard and a right to be rejected or accepted once completely heard. All voices have the moral responsibility to respectfully convey their position. The truth always comes out. Suppression of the truth or only allowing one narrative is like damming up a river—eventually the water will break that dam and flow freely in the messiest way possible. It will only come back to bite you later.. Encourage respect not sanctioned narratives.
