The service this company/app provides is really great. I love that you can continually shop around for new savings accounts and CD’s and that it makes it so easy to open new accounts and manage them. The app is simple and straightforward. However with recent updates the app has become much more glitchy and just worse in general. For instance, as you click through menu items you often can’t just go straight back to the “home” screen and instead you have to backtrack by clicking the back button a bunch of times just to get back to your home screen. That didn’t used to be like that. And it constantly asks me to log in again over and over and the initial log in screen has changed to where I now have to click “I have an account” each time before it even takes me to the log in screen, which is so dumb. Then in terms of glitchiness I was just trying to move some money from my cash account to a new savings account and it shows the correct amount of money available in my cash account but when I try to make the transfer it shows no money in the cash account which is definitely incorrect. So I don’t know what you guys are doing but maybe consider not making your app worse and worse with each update?

Used to bank with Raisin frequently, now I’ve moved my money elsewhere. Here’s some reasons why:- Their 2FA login prompt claims they “only require authentication every 7 days”, but it asks for authentication every single time I log in, even minutes apart. If you want to require 2FA for each and every login, that’s fine, but stop trying to pretend like you’re doing me a favor by “only requiring 2FA every 7 days” when that’s clearly not how your system even works.- Cash account. They used to let you transfer money in and out of your bank account directly to fund your Raisin account, but they recently added another hurdle which makes your money go through an unnecessary Raisin-owned checking account which does NOT earn interest. This Raisin checking account is subject to the same slow ACH transfer speeds, so now your money takes double the amount of time it used to in order to actually get it where you want to go. Again, they claim this is for your benefit, and that’s the annoying part - Raisin knows this is simply an annoyance to real customers when they keep the interest for your money since it’s in their checking account, but they claim it’s “better for you like this.” Stop. It’s not better, and you know it. Be honest about your practices and maybe you might start getting better reviews.

Raisin's app doesn't function like a banking app. Raisin is not a bank but you should be able to change your email or your connected external accounts through the app and be done. Instead you have to go through their website and send a request that needs to be reviewed by customer service to get approved. With the back and forth this can take +3 business days, over half a week. It's ridiculous. Raisin should do all this via 2FA. I hate it.

I find this app the best I’ve tried out there. I can move funds directly from my bank account into either a new account that I want to set up or into an existing account. You do have to make the transaction in a way so that your deposit goes directly (like the next business day) into an account of your choosing and bypass the “cash account”. Just start the transaction from the account you want to deposit into (or withdraw) and from that specific account, click on the deposit or withdrawal buttons and you can make the transaction from there. If you start on your “home” page, it will default to your cash account. I have opened and closed multiple CD’s and HYSAs and have had no issues. Definitely has options for a higher ROI than locally or on other online banks. I just closed out a CD at another company and will transfer the funds to Raisin for my financial planning.
