We booked the all day tour of The Palace Versailles. The description is exactly as follows: Full Day From Paris: Palace of Versailles Guided Tour with Access to Queen Marie Antoinette's Estate - From Paris: Guided tour of Marie-Antoinette's Private Estate and Musical Garden Show. The guide left us n hour after getting to Versailles, she walked us out to the gardens and said be back where the bus dropped you off at 5:30 pm. No instructions on how to get to Marie-Antoinette's Private Estate nor was that portion of the tour guided in anyway. Marie-Antoinette's Private Estate is close to a mile from the palace. Included in the tour was also a train ride back the palace, we went to board the train and they said we don’t know anything about that, so we had to buy a ticket. Went out to meet the bus for return to Paris there were 30 buses, they never told us what bus to look for, fortunately a bus driver from another tour company told us what bus to get on. When we contacted Headout they said the tour did not include anything but the palace to read the description. We did way at the bottom after the description says guided tour of Marie-Antoinette's Private Estate twice, if you keep reading it says that it’s not included. They basically said oh well sorry about your luck. We also booked a tour of Notra Dame which was a total mess also , in the end we got no tour or refund. Don’t use Headout you will be disappointed. I wish I could give them no stars.

We booked tickets to see the Quinta da Regaleira palace in Sintra, Portugal. In our tickets sections in the app there were QR codes for all 4 tickets but when we tried to get inside they said they were not real tickets since they were booked through a third-party. We looked at the app more closely and it said we had to meet someone at a specific location to get our real tickets to the venue. When we went to that spot there was no one there even though we were still within our time window. We had to buy all new tickets for over €100 from the venue to get inside. Later we found out we had received an email from the fourth-party person we were supposed to meet with our actual tickets inside. Since we did not have European SIM cards we were not able to access email off of wifi, nor did we have any information from Headout beforehand that we might need to check our emails during the day to get into the venue. When I explained all of this to Headout they were not able to offer me a refund based on their “partners strict cancellation policy”. After looking into it more they have horrible reviews on trip advisor with so many people having awful experiences with them. We will never use this company again.

WORST EXPERIENCE I COULD HAVE IMAGINED

My trip to NYC was RUINED because of this god forsaken company!!!! I ordered tickets online for “Chicago” the musical through headout weeks before my trip. It seemed easy enough! I’d meet my ticket holder in person so there’s no surprises, I thought that was cool. But NO. NOT COOL. I ordered my tickets for a Sunday evening performance at 7:00 pm. I double checked online before purchasing to make sure they were the right ones because headout website was so glitchy. It was at that point I started feeling a bit weary. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt and just thought it was the crappy internet connection I had at my then location. The tickets are ordered and I go on my trip. Sunday morning and afternoon I’m in Central Park and get a call saying my headout host is waiting for me and I need to pick up my tickets. WHAT???? I’m in CENTRAL PARK and I ordered tickets for the 7:00 show!! I DID NOT ORDER THE 2:00 MATINEE. I had to rearrange the whole rest of my trip to WALK all the way to broadway to physically pick up my tickets in order to at least have the SLIGHT chance of a refund. It was absolutely ridiculous. So my trip to NYC was ruined, I DIDN’T get to see Chicago, and I lost almost $200. I tried emailing and calling the company and each time they don’t respond. I’ve gotten a few responses but then when I’m promised another one they don’t comply. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I went on this trip A MONTH AND A HALF AGO and I still don’t have my refund!!!! I did NOT order the 2:00 tickets but they won’t seem to give me a refund. It’s not my fault their crappy website glitched out. DO NOT USE HEADOUT!!!!

Horrible Experience with this App - be warned!

Now that I’ve been burned by Headout, I am finding all sorts of similarly terrible stories posted by online reviewers. I have no idea how they manage to hide these reviews on google and maintain a decent rating. I used their app to book a tour in Barcelona a few days ago and it was a complete disaster. I paid and showed up for a tour that didn’t exist. (There were others who had also used Headout and showed up for the same “canceled” tour.) Their customer service had no idea how to handle the situation and could offer nothing but a “we messed up” email and a promise of a refund. When I explained that when you ruin somebody’s vacation, you actually need to step up and offer them a free tour - they refused. After much back and forth they finally offered a free tour of a different attraction that was a fraction of the I price. We said “no thanks.” Simply disgraceful. The next day I booked the same tour through a different company and it was $60 cheaper so I think Headout also overcharges from what I’ve been reading in other reviews. Please don’t trust this company! I wish I had been able to find any accurate reviews when they popped up through my search on google maps.
