Unlock doors with your phone.
PDK Access by ProdataKey – Mobile Access Control Made Simple
The PDK Access app transforms your phone into a secure mobile credential, replacing the need for physical cards or key fobs. Instantly send or receive a credential for your property via email. Whether you’re an employee, administrator, or ProdataKey (PDK) installation partner, powerful access control is always at your fingertips.
For Employees or End Users
Unlock doors with Bluetooth credentials by simply moving your phone near a reader. Or, tap a button in the app to unlock a door. Invites arrive by email, or add your email address in the app to retrieve an existing credential. Your organization chooses which unlocking methods are available for your property.
For Administrators
Manage your PDK system from anywhere, anytime. Grant or revoke access, add schedules to lock doors, view reports, and get instant alerts—no need to be at your desk to be in control of building access. Save time and cut costs by emailing digital credentials to any employee or user.
For Integrators & Technicians
Streamline installations, configuration, and service calls. Leave your laptop in the truck—install a PDK system from start to finish on your phone with the same, complete PDK.io look, feel, and feature set. With everything in your pocket, you can manage and troubleshoot customer issues remotely—anytime, anywhere.
Secure. Flexible. Mobile. PDK Access by ProdataKey puts you in complete control of your physical security.
Note: PDK access control solutions are provided exclusively through our network of trained, certified installation partners. For security reasons, all end-user support is handled by these partners, not PDK. If you need assistance, contact your on-site security team or property manager—they’ll work directly with a PDK partner to resolve any issues at your location.
The PDK Access app is frustrating to use for daily access control. One of the biggest missing features is support for home screen widgets or quick-access controls. Having to unlock your phone, open the app, wait for it to load, and then unlock a door is inconvenient, especially when you’re using it multiple times a day.Modern access control apps should offer widgets, lock screen shortcuts, Apple Watch support, or other quick-access options for faster entry. The current experience feels outdated compared to other smart access solutions.Honestly, I don’t understand why my apartment chose this system. Residents use it every day, yet it lacks basic convenience features that would make access faster and easier. I would not recommend this app, and I hope property managers consider better alternatives until these usability issues are addressed. The app works, but the overall experience is disappointing and far less user-friendly than it should be.

I didn’t think it was possible to be worse than Linear

For an app that is CENTERED around credential management, they do not communicate a single thing about your credentials. If you activate a new device, does it remove your previous device? Up to you and your crystal ball to figure out. How many device transfers do you have left? The UI will conveniently let you know AFTER you have exceeded them and are locked out of your building. Want to contact support? Just click on the “contact support” button that will lead you to a screen that tells you to… contact support?!?It is HARD to make an App that is so bad that it has two stars in the AppStore, but the folks over at PDK have dug deep and managed to do it!

Bad UI - Manage Section
Will6629
PDK would have a good product its self if the ui wasn’t so bad. I had about 30 doors with PDK and have now replaced them with a different system because the interface it just so slow and clunky. Many times I will have to reset the app to add users or make changes and it proves unreliable. My staff who uses all says the same thing and it causes serious delays in our multi site business. Was hoping to choose PDK as the brand to scale our multi site business locations, but because of these issues, I just can’t justify it. Instead we transitioned to ubiquiti. Really wanted to like PDK but can’t get over these serious performance issues.

Our Product team would like to understand more about your experience. Many say they like the experience because it offers 100% of the desktop experience on mobile. Please reach out by email at stars@prodatakey.com. We'd love a chance to hear from you directly.
Glitchy
Trevon Reddish
Old app was far superior. This new app has new “fixes” that create more issues than they fix. Call support and they direct you to the non-responsive installer who knows less than you about the app. One day certain features work, the next day they do not. Just a common cycle.
Developer Response
Trevon, we'd love a chance to learn more. Since PDK is a solution that partners install for their customers, we often are unable to help directly unless you are an installer. For this one, please reach out to our product team at stars@prodatakey.com, so we can find out how the new app is falling short.
