Can’t Use What I’m Paying For; No ID, No Insurance Card, But They’re Taking My Money

Absolutely terrible experience so far.I just downloaded the Ameritas app and it’s already asking for an update before I can even use it — ridiculous. Even worse, I don’t have access to my member ID, insurance cards, or any actual dental information. Yet, they’ve already started taking money out of my paycheck. How is it okay to start charging me before providing any proof of coverage or account access? Completely unprofessional and frustrating. I shouldn’t have to chase down basic information just to use benefits I’m paying for. Do better, Ameritas.

Here’s a list of things that need to be fixed in the app:- form focus at signup: while selecting different things during sign-up, the focus keeps errantly shifting to the top- form fill keyboard: after typing on the keyboard to fill input in a form, tapping on a form button only leaves the keyboard, you have to click on the button again for it to activate- autofill password: edge-case ,but since I had already saved my password with iOS, filling out the “set password” didn’t select the right input box (only ever selected the first box)- EOB email: doesn’t work

Buggy, barely functional

Just downloaded and installed it. Setting up your account is buggy requiring multiple extra taps for no apparent reason. First time logging in, I tried to view my account info and just got the never-ending spinny wheel. Closed out the app, tried again, and was directed to a black screen with no way back, so force quit the app again. Third time, it seemed to work, I could see my benefits, but then I tried the “add my card to wallet” function and that gave an error as well, so big failure for a company that makes billions of dollars off of people’s fear and desire to not suffer or die from an injury or disease.

Terrible app, if you are even able to log in without having to reset your password every time or multiple times. So frustrating makes me want to cancel my entire insurance plan which is terrible also. Seems as though they don’t want you to log in your own account and see how they don’t cover anything!
