Loving the New App!

For awhile I couldn’t figure out why my App, wasn’t working so I went to re-install and realized you’ll made a New one. Not sure why Reward Members didn’t any notification? I also don’t remember seeing anything on Instagram, Twitter or the Emails receive.
Moving on though, I now have the New App and have been using for about a month and got to say I personally believe it’s a Vast improvement!
I’m actually able to pull up the Hooters at my location now, and I have even been able to place Orders for pick up while running errands to grab on the way home for Dinner. Plus, another thing I really liked was I was even able to use my Appetizer Award on Check Out when finalizing my Order! Now if Military Members could somehow register their Reward Accounts like they do at Lowe’s so they can also get a discount, Maybe even add First Responders to that!
The layout and Navigation is really nice also.

The new App that came out last week is TONS better than the old one. I have been really harsh in prior reviews because the old app constantly glitched and really didn’t have much functionality. The new app is MUCH more user friendly and it actually works really well and posts points and awards fast. Plus now the app lets you order food and get points on those orders...BONUS! I still wish more of their restaurants were using the app for ordering because I travel a lot. I did see some new locations accepting orders recently so hope that continues so all can get covered...gotta get my wings!

Scam promos and unnecessary spam

The app advertises promos that never exist. For example, buy 10 get 10 free wings. You click the notification but it just takes you to the main screen of the app. The promo isn’t shown in the Deals tab. It doesn’t appear if you go to Chicken Wings. It doesn’t appear anywhere along the purchasing process. There’s a promo/coupon field but nothing to select and nothing current when you search online.

So, I wasted 10 minutes or more because Hooters thought it would be nice to pull me back into the app. I tried an hour later, and I tried the next day. Still nothing. And this isn’t the first time they falsely advertised deals.

What’s worse, it is very noisy. I get a notification every few days and it isn’t a deal or an advertisement for a new product. But it is just a generic “The big game is coming up! Make Hooters your game day destination!” or something like that. At least other food apps only notify me when there is a new deal or a new limited time menu item.

Garbage. I’d give it 0 stars if I could, but I’m giving it 2 since the online ordering itself seems to work alright. I’m turning off notifications as I don’t expect to ever get a deal through this app.
